My compliments to PPP. I asked yesterday for withdraw and got my money in few hours only. So that's nice. I will be back when u improve your software. Also i would like that there would be 90-180 man S & G'os like on pokerstars. And 20 % rake for 2 $ s & g's it just makes them unprofitable to play.

Hey,

Just thought I'd give you guys a quick update of what promos we've got in September (apologies for the delay):

Paddy's November 9ers

WSOP Final Table star Eoghan O'Dea is officially a paddypowerpoker.com pro and we've launched Paddy's November 9ers to support this. Nine lucky players will join Eoghan in Las Vegas this November as he plays for over $8 million on the final table of the World Series of Poker 2011.

Players can qualify to become one of ‘Paddy’s November 9ers’ via weekly super satellites exclusive to paddypowerpoker.com. The $200 + $15 NLH FO super satellites commence next Wednesday 7th September, with feeders running daily from today. There will be seven weekly super satellites in total with one package guaranteed each week; the final two packages will be won over the coming months in a Sit & Go race and a Casino challenge, so keep your eyes peeled.

‘Paddy’s November 9ers’ qualifiers will each win a package worth $4,300 consisting of return flights to Las Vegas, seven nights in the Palazzo Hotel on the infamous Las Vegas Strip, $1,000 spending money and the ‘money can’t buy’ benefit of entry into the WSOP November Nine final table arena to cheer on Irish player Eoghan O Dea.

Paddy's Iron Man II

We've also brought back Paddy's Iron Man II for September. This gives you the same great value you got in August. If you're a real grinder and at the tables, day in day out then you deserve to be rewarded and we intend on doing just that. Iron man prizes range from a $250 freeroll ticket to a massive $4,000 bonus for just 25 days work.

Note that the promotion does not require play on consecutive days. As long as you earn the points on the required number of days you will be eligible for a freeroll ticket or bonus.

Opt in here.

We've also extended our Happy Hours till the end of September.

Hi Jamie,

I was just in the middle of a tournament on your site, sat with top pair and involved in a reasonable-sized pot.

A new tournament opened at this point, which caused the tournament I was on to freeze for a few seconds and by the time the tournament was playable again, my hand had been folded and I'd lost a big pot.

I'm fairly sure this isn't a problem with my internet or computer and hopefully other posters will be able to confirm that this is a problem that exists for everybody on iPoker.

If that turns out to be the case, can you tell me please how I go about receiving a refund for my tournament freezing, leaving me unable to click 'call' and my hand being folded. Thanks.

Any chance of something that isn't Iron Man next month (and obviously, isn't nothing either)? It caused me to leave the site because I disliked it so much but I would rather move back than play on Titan tbh.

Also the Iron Man emails that are being sent out are showing incorrect figures, mine said I had played on 6th Sept and earned 3.5k points and I hadn't even logged in at all that day (and I checked, no-one had hacked my account and played with it).

Why have the dollar currency Omaha tables been abolished? They were a lot more popular than the Pound / Euro tables.

Hi,

I saw the new Sit and go november 9 promotion...

""The second part of Paddy's November 9ers promotion launches in the form of Sit N Go To Vegas. There's $6k in weekly leaderboards to be won and a trip to Vegas up for grabs! Here's what's in store...

-The promotion will rank all players who participate in any of the Sit N Go (excluding Double Up SNGs) """

Can u add Double or nothing? I am really disapointed whit paddy power excluding double or nothing from the promtion. Is a very popular type of Sng why excluding them?...

I'll raise this with our team and get back to you asap when I hear back from them.

Thanks

Hi Pyromantha,

We're exploring various opportunities for promotions in October. We will keep you updated when we've finalised these.

Apologies for the incorrect data in the Iron Man emails, this was due to a minor technical glitch which have fixed.

Thanks

Hi UsernamePok,

We've excluded Double Up SNGs, as for this leaderbaords, you get extra points if you cash or win a SNG. If you cash in a Double Up, it counts as a win in the database. Therefore players could run away with it by just playing these.

We're going to run a Double Up promo in the near future though, so watch this space.

Thanks

I'm not sure what the issue might have been here. Please let me know if it happens again and take a screenshot if possible.

Thanks

Thx for answering

We've got another super sat for Paddy's November 9ers tonight. Winner goes to Vegas with WSOP final table star Eoghan O'Dea, for a package worth $4,300.

Direct buy-in to the super sat is $200 + $15 and we only need 10 runners for it to go ahead. Could be some massive value there guys.

Thanks

Jamie,

I'd like you to clarify a couple of things about your Premiership Bounty tournaments for me please.

Firstly, the 'bounty' player is 'PPPFerguson' who a member of Paddy Power staff plays as, is that right?

Secondly, can you clarify what PPPFerguson's aim is in the tournament. Presumably to win the tournament and therefore save Paddy Power the $100 bounty plus the value of the 1st prize?

Thanks

Pocoyo,

Thank you for your questions. First, let me introduce myself as Adam and I'll be taking over the responsibilities of Customer Support on these forums for a while.

PPPFerguson is indeed a member of Paddy Power staff, however, their goal isn't to win and save a $100 bounty. They're asked to have fun and try have a bit of banter with the other players. If they happen to win the tournament through some good luck, the Bounty rolls over to the following week.

I hope that clears up your issue.

Regards,
Adam

Hi Adam.

This doesn't really clear up my issue, no.

Their goal is to have fun? I don't really follow what that means in a poker sense. So, if they get dealt 7, 2, they could throw all their chips in because that would be 'fun'? What exactly are they trying to do with the 1500 chips which they are given?

I'm just a bit confused, as I played this tournament at the weekend and saw the bounty player call a large all-in with a very poor hand, which turned out to be ahead. It worried me, as it looked as if the bounty player would only make that call if they could see the other players' cards. Can the bounty player see everybody's cards? If not, why is the bounty player calling large all-ins with poor hands as that's effectively just handing chips to a player of Paddy Power's choice and I don't see how that is fair.

That's why I asked you what specifically the bounty player is aiming to do with their chips, to try and clear up the situation I witnessed at the weekend.

Thanks

Hello.

I haven't played in a few days and today when I opened the client it updated.

Now the HEM hud doesn't work.

Anybody knows how to fix it?

ThePrunus,

Today we pushed out the latest version of the iPoker client to all of our players. The HEM team will need to update the software to make it compatible with this latest version which is being rolled out gradually across the entire network.

On that note, if anyone has any feedback about new features that they notice, we're all ears.

The bounty is just out to enjoy the game be it through interacting with the other players, playing to the best of their ability or getting their gamble on. What you saw was a gamble that resulted in them getting lucky on this occasion. As for seeing others hole cards, as a member of our support team, they do not have access to cards in real-time, only access to past hand histories. However, such activity is logged and actively monitored.

I would like to assure you that the game is played honestly and in good-spirits.

Cheers,
Adam

Will the weekly leaderboard side games points race be updated more than the once per day it seems to be right now?

Also is it bugged, or were there really only 6 players who had earned any points whatsoever before 4pm today? And only 3 people who earned more than 2 points? This seems quite impossible or why would you even bother running a poker site.....

Updated 19/09/11 4:09 pm

1 allen35 326.4
2 cazsroyal 68.493
3 kathy7 1.46
4 IanDoyle6 0.55
5 Quinlan14 0.08
6 robbieearl1981 0.07

That's what I see, that reflects about $20 rake paid... hardly seems worth paying any staff.... if it's wrong, can you fix it so we can check where we stand accurately? I'm on 3k points or so so far, but all after 4pm.

I'm playing on another ipoker site that has the update already
but I guess I can leave feedback here too?

I like the update, seems like you have shortened the dealing cards animation?
At least it feels like Im getting more hands/hour/table.

Only thing that I dont like is the loading time for opening a new table is now much worse,
and while it loads, the whole client is frozen.

while playing 10+ tables this means every time a new table opens I'm on the edge of timing out on all of my tables.

can you make it either so that the tables load faster or that the client doesn't freeze while loading?
I have a fairly good computer and never had this problem before.

I also suspect it could be possible to speed up the loading time because for
whatever reason if I load a 2nd table right after another one loaded, the 2nd one pops up almost instantly.

OMG, I just realised that the 'Race to Vegas' promotion is for people who play blackjack, roulette etc. Just wasted a full day grinding cash games for 16 hours before I did realise this....

Quote:
This promotion ranks all players who play the side games on the poker client
Maybe I'm crazy but I thought a side game was another name for a cash game. Since its being advertised on paddypowerpoker.com please could you make it absolutely clear that the promotion has nothing to do with poker?

And, how come there is a SNG to Vegas, you promised in this thread to do a DON promotion.... how about running a cash game race or promotion.... don't we generate more rake than SNG players, DON players, roulette players?
09-20-2011 , 05:12 AM
Pyromantha,

The leaderboard is correct but as you later noticed, it's based on side games i.e. casino games rather than cash games. I'm sorry for the confusion caused and hope that your day of grinding was profitable. I'll amend the promotion page to avoid any mix-ups going forward.

We try and cater for all our players with our promotions and we're currently in the process of finalising our promotions for October. I'll pass on your feedback to the rest of the team and keep you posted on any developments.

Regards,
Adam

This is clearly connected to my post from several weeks ago, (for which I'm still waiting to hear a further response):

I hope this other poster has shown that this problem is widespread and is infact a problem with the network, rather than a problem with my computer or a story which I have made up.

Adam, you cannot charge people to play poker and then have their tables freezing so they cannot play the game. I agree that this freezing has got worse since the update, it needs to be looked into and fixed as a matter of urgency.

I don't know much about computers at all, but could all the needless pop-ups be causing the site to run slower and freeze when tables open? There seems to be a ridiculous number of unnecessary pop-ups every time you try to play a tournament, ('Tournament about to start', 'Taking you to your table,' etc.) What is the point in all these pop-ups? I know I've registered for a tournament, why not just take me there and start it without 10 messages telling me that you're doing so?
