They're going to initially blame it on your software, hopefully now they'll recognize it's not us.

OK so with the 7.5K shut down.

Are they refunding the buy in? Cuz if thats it, well then they just made a ton of money from all those people who busted cuz they aren't paying out any of the gtd money.

Pretty good deal BCP

They have paid out wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than $1K+ in overlays this series ($6405 buyins; $7045.50 including Fees so far in 7.5K), so no they are not saving much based on the entry numbers in this, certainly not a TON

what are the rules regarding cashouts and playthrough requirements after receiving a p2p transfer? thanks

I know.

I'm just saying what is the deal here? Is everyone who was in the tourney while it was shut down gonna get a refund? Or a refund plus the prize pool chopped up.

good question. Here is my email reply from support:

We hope you are doing well!

We apologize for the problem occured with the event 79 tournament, the respective refunds will be taken care of shortly, the management will be looking into each case individually. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

FR traffic is non existent but 6max traffic ain't that great either. I guess it really doesn't matter though since its so freakin difficult to play more than 4-6 tables with this software.

Is it any better above 50nl?

Yes it is better, but then you have BBJ/Beast drop, which many ITT say makes the NL games unbeatable at the lower stakes.

I am just throwing out an idea for the next Microrake race. I also want to point out that I cashed in the race and I welcome the free money for just playing games I would normally play. Granted, I played more of them due to the race but I would have played them regardless. I also got lucky and won my way into a 200+15 so I more than made my share from them. That being said....

Since playing micro ring games are basically useless in this race, they should be eliminated from it completely. Honestly, I played 90% more time in ring games than in the satellites, but my final points were ring games: 57 points, satellites: 1450 points.

Instead of just awarding people all the same points for entering a satellite, it should be based on how well you do in them collectively. For the entire first week, I entered and actually played in them and in the early stages. I would often be at a table of 9 with 6 or 7 inactive players. Making players actually play would almost certainly prevent this.

The 12 round late registration is another problem for the games imo. Basically the games went like this. 20 players or so start, with 60-75% of them being inactive. Slowy the inactive players get blinded out, with players joining here and there throughout. Level 12 would arrive with somewhere between 10-20 players left. About 2 minutes before the round ended, another 20-30 players would join at the last minute for the sole purpose of getting the 10k add on hoping to get lucky and avoid playing the first 70 minutes of the tournament.

On average, when level 12 ended the chipleader would have somewhere around 12k-20k chips. Once everyone added on, they would join the tournament and have nearly half the chips of the chipleader (even after his add-on) without ever playing a hand. I have to admit, once I saw this strategy I started doing it too. The first week I joined new games at :05 after the hour at level 1, but second week I would just wait until :10 after the hour and join last hours game with 1 minute remaining in level 12.

One game I did this and was chipleader in 3 hands. I'm sorry, but there should be no tournament ever where you can join in level 12 and be the chipleader after 3 hands. That's just stupid. Please consider lowering the levels at when the late registration close. I played a OSS yesterday where the late reg ended after level 4 and it was a much better tournament experience than these .50 satellites.

I understand the goal of these is to feed the large guaranteed tournaments and it seems to be working for you, but if you want a real "race", at least make some skill involved somewhere.

Agreed.

There's so many simple solutions to a lot of the problems this site, and network are having. My biggest issue is the lack of support we are receiving in this forum. I mean, are our suggestions and problems even getting heard? It would be comforting from time to time to hear a rep say that they're passing our concerns up the chain of command.

This network could easily dominate the US poker market by making a few simple fixes. It almost makes you wonder if they want that...

Your concerns and suggestions have been heard and they have been passed up the chain. However, please remember that everything needs to be prioritised and anything critical will be handled before upgrades/improvements.

WPN have already specced out all the changes for the next version of the software, and most of the improvements being requested will be included in that upgrade.

Asking for the same thing and demanding a response repeatedly is just pointless, and does not help. The upgrade is already being done as quickly as possible. WPN and the software providers are working on it, doing their best to get it completed as quickly as possible. Requesting changes and/or improvements now is futile, because the major client and table-design upgrade has already been specced out. You would be better off waiting until the new software is released, and at that time starting a thread related to the new software and if you feel any part of the new software needs improvement, find a way to get a consensus and post links in the BCP/ACR/TRUE threads at that time.

A few points:

1) The micro race: The way this was set-up where the OSS sattys awarded such high points values for the leaderboard was a mistake, and next time a promotion like this is run it will be vastly improved;

2) The Beast: This is not going anywhere, we have notified WPN that the structure isn't popular with many players, but they have made it perfectly clear that they do not plan on dropping/changing it anytime soon;

3) The new software: I don't have an ETA on this but I don't expect it for at least another 3-4 months, minimum;

4) Mac client: I don't have an ETA on this but I don't expect it for at least another 3-4 months, minimum;

5) HEM compatibility: I don't have an ETA on this but I don't expect it will be ready for at least another 3-4 weeks, minimum.

Thanks again, I hope this helps.

Received event 79 refund.

Other than the server problems yesterday. I think this software is good. Of course, I also play on revolution.
