You can only play on .es if you are in Spain, so you are stuck in the same situation as if you were in the US (I moved to Portugal last year in order to avoid this since I'm spanish)

starting with 0 vpps right now, you'll probably make it to 600k or so.

this really depends how loose and how tight you are. How often you are seeing turns etc. I mean there are a lot of factors in your vpp rate at this point. Are you auto folding, or just playing to your hand etc. Stacking/tiling. There is just so much that can factor in.

I get more like 470k vpps playing a 24/17/5 AKA standard nit reg

So on the entire year you would probably make it, but need to play EVERY SINGLE DAY.

also 200plo zoom hardly runs anymore. At least when I look it up. And when I do, there are 60~ players tops. This will also factor in.

If it ran 24 hours a day, sure maybe no problem, but it doesn't, not even close. If it runs 8 hours a day, I would be surprised.

I think a running waitlist for zoom might be solid to kickstart it. I don't play it. But if you could sign up to play if there were X number of players this might work. So say you start a session, then open up zoom and say "I will start playing if there are 20 individual players in the pool." When 20 players all get on the 'waitlist' or are playing, you enter the game. I might play it if there was something like this. But in the current state, it is just a bunch of nit regs, and then it dies or doesn't even run.

Probably because no one wants to just sit around without seat selecting, table selecting, playing against the same players all day. But if you had a running waitlist, with options, you would be almost forced to play, because there would be enough players playing all the time, it would make it boom more!? maybe I am wrong, but makes sense to me.

lol anyone tried to play HU lately? I am not even a HU reg at all, i sit, no one plays. Some reg finally plays, stacks me sitouts rejoins, refuses to play. Play another reg, new level, stacks, sits out, refuses to play.

What is this garbage? Stars is this **** good for you site? for your game? Right now there are 100 players sitting at 400-1kplo HU with ZERO games running. How are you not fixing this? Stop the madness. Some people actually want to play poker, while these clowns just steal funds. Ban these accounts, we don't need KOTH, or any other fix, just hire one dude to find a guy that never plays, then ban him, then do it again and again and again. After awhile, people will stop.

Nothing could fix poker faster than stopping these bumhunting clowns from being able to just sit around and take money off your site doing absolutely nothing but sitting, and dare I say, multi accounting. Because surely at least half of these dudes sitting are the same dude with multiple SNs

surely they aren't paying enough rake to make their accounts worthwhile. Typical bumhunting 1kplo reg probably plays what? 250 hands a day. Let's say 250vpps, rakes in 1k cash. So he gets $4 profit/1vpp. While the typical SNE who keeps tables going maybe gets $.10/vpp and makes ZERO profit. Just banhammer these clowns already, and let grinders grind and let bumhunters go to some other site

imagine if hu didnt exist and we were all forced to play 6max/9max with the millions of $ extra that are put by fish that take about 20 hands to lose their 100bb stacks at hu.

That'd be a horrible scenario. More fish could play longer, More regs could play and there'd be more money for everyone including stars. Would be terribly horrific as there is no downside(Hu sngs have much less bumhunting)

I was always curious about that as well since HU is pretty clearly terrible for sites and they're obviously aware of it. I suspect the issue is that there are plenty of recreationals who only want to play HU, and if a site doesn't offer it - they'll just take their play to another site that does. It's the same reasons the sites give in to terrible licensing conditions in countries like France - their options are to take a terrible deal and make much less profit than they're used to, or make 0 profit.

those fish barely rake anything.

a 200-600 hu "reg" will rake in a year as much as a 50nl grinder rakes in a month

Even smaller sites like Bodog also offer helpful instant phone support.

Stars' support is currently some of the worst in the industry when it comes to anything that doesn't involve writing poems and raps to be posted on 2+2. I think claiming it's good does a disservice to all players since it supports Stars' decision to massively cut back on their support - which was indeed amazing a few years ago.

Anyhow, what is this site that takes 3+ days to respond to emails and doesn't have phone support? I need to make sure to avoid them as I've been spreading my play to a ton of sites lately.
this. Someone needed to say it. What company in the world can you give 5-6 figure profits to yet they don't have enough respect for you to get on a telephone with you when you ask.

It seems everyone is always complaining about hu. If this is the case Im surprised stars hasnt thought about dropping it, or minimizing it drastically.

this is true, get rid of HU or make the bumhunters play a certain number of hands

LOL yeah this is why I gave up on 2max. Shame because it's my favorite form of poker.

Hey guys. Been a while since I updated it but since I used to always post here when I did, I figured i'd continue the trend with the next part of my guide to SNE via PLO: http://www.godlikeroy.com/2012/07/th...-the-trenches/

It's nothing major but I expect to add some cool thoughts to the section over the coming weeks. Also if anyone wants to do a guest blog spot on the topic then please PM me and we'll set it up

Anyone know who lasted longest last year, or if there has ever been an SNE at the FT?
Bit late for a sweat, but Frenchdawg is SNE and he suffered a horrible bad beat (AKo < AKo) to cripple him and send him out in 13th place this year. (He was also probably the last SNE standing last year too, as he finished 63rd.)

Yeah, I was just posting about that in NVG yesterday. Any idea what games he plays to get SNE?

No plans for this at the moment. However, as today's Supernova Elite Newsletter disclosed, players are able to opt-in to future 10M, 5M, and 1M Lifetime VPP lists by emailing vipclub@pokerstars.com.

Mid- to High-stakes cash. Mainly CAP, but reg tables too. 6-max and FR. Some HU.
