Since this thread has been surprisingly dead recently, I think we should make it the unofficial sweat thread for SNEs left in the Main Event. I'm always interested in how my fellow SNEs are performing and I hope we will have some updates in here. Maybe bragging rights for whoever lasts the longest.

Anyone know who lasted longest last year, or if there has ever been an SNE at the FT?

Sorry to have missed your post between the Porsche pics. We have percentages listed on the VIP Club website. Clicking on one of the VIP levels, like Supernova Elite for example, will give you more detailed information.

443k, think I'm out. Between worsening tables, struggling to put in the hours and non-poker commitments over the next few months, it's too tempting to just meet the 10 months @ 50k requirement to retain SNE for next year. That would take me up to 628k so I'll probably finish on 700k for the year, hopefully ready to put enough hours in during 2013.

Tables have certainly become beyond terrible. I am hoping some resurgence after WSOP concludes or may be quitting as well.

games are pretty bad. not fun, 99% packing it in for the SNE run, and considering quitting altogether

Wait a minute, you are saying that by getting 10 months at 50k vpps and not making 1mil on the year I would still be SNE in 2013?? Looks like I misunderstood something.
I thought the 50kvpp month requirement was only extending SNE till december 31 as opposed to late september on previous years?

If you got more than half of your 2011 vpps from cash games, then yes, 10 months @50k = SNE for 2013.

You should have an individual email from stars with how the 50k per month offer applies to you. If in doubt ask Stars.

Wow, I didnt know that, thats pretty good news for me as Im not gonna make 1mil again but should make 10 50k months. I never received an email expliciting this. Where does this info come from?
I dont check the thread very often so maybe its common knowledge that I was unaware of.

Well I just emailed stars support and their answer is very clear but contradictory with what you are saying:

Thank you for contacting PokerStars.

Once you have earned the required VPPs in one calendar year, you
maintain Supernova Elite VIP status until at least the end of
March of the next year.

Supernova Elite VIP status can be extended on a monthly basis
from January to the end of the year 2012, provided you continue
to earn at least 50,000 VPPs every month. missing no more than
two months.

Players with less than 1,000,000 VPPs earned in the next calendar
year (in your case 2012) on December 31st will revert to a lower
VIP status.

So I dont know where you guys got this information about extending SNE status in 2013 but it looks like its just incorrect.

Does this only apply for 2011 or also for this year? So making SNE in 2012 and retaining it with 50K a month in 2013 and keep SNE status in 2014
