personally i do not like it since they got rid of the daily 5k and 10k. plus winning the seats you have to finish first out of probably 100 people or more

I found a site that talks about it, but it is not an 888 owned site and it may be talking about the international 888.

http://www.pokerbonus.com/bonus-code...tware/allowed/

It basically says that while AI and bots are not allowed, tracking software and HUDs are.
I received a response from 888 regarding the use of Poker Tracking software (HUD) on the 888 client software (I changed the reference to my real name. Otherwise, it's a cut-n-paste from the email). So it looks like it is ok for me to Hack away!

Dear Snowmonster on 2+2,

Thank you for contacting us.

Using a third party poker tracker software like Hold'em Manager will not be against our rules as this program can help you improve your poker skills.

I hope that I have successfully answered your query.

If you need further assistance with this or any other matter, please feel free to contact us via email at: supportnj@888.com

Sincerely,

Gamalier T.

Hi, I looked at the terms of service located at
http://us.888poker.com/help/user-agreement/ and it doesn't say you can't use
poker tracking software, such as Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker. The
closest 'clause' I could find was the 'Artificial Intelligence - Robots'
paragraph in section 7, but poker tracking software is not considered
artificial intelligence. What is 888's position on Poker Tracking Software?

Regards,

Me

What body assures fairness/randomness of output of NJ poker sites?
How does control over source code looks like here? Does anybody outside of casinos themselves have authority to get involved in software security checking process? Anything like Kahnawake Gaming Commission?

Good question for the New Jersey DGE.

They have an email address - info@njdge.org. Have gotten answers fairly quickly in the past. It is a dot org not dot com.

As Brilliant27 says -- Rig-ulation.

I tried taking a look at the changes in the Registry, and couldn't deduce any changes. There appears to be a new Registry entry (ENABLE_TABLEGROUPING) in the DLLs, but I couldn't figure out what to set it to. I downloaded and installed the international version and it has changed as well, but it does have a side panel with the list of individual tables. (see picture below)

It wasn't me. I don't play PLO. I figure I should get my head around NLH first.

Yup, we are supposed to just "trust it". I'm glad my preachings in the NJ online forum were absorbed and the ten million infraction points I got for repeating that word over and over again were worth it

Yeah, I'm thinking that the application itself has changed instead of being a party poker (international) clone with some different reg values.

FYP.

Despite you getting extremely annoying using it over and over again, not even so much as a single zero point warning was given to you. I'd appreciate it if you'd refrain from just making things up about infractions you never received.

Sad day. That registry change made playing on party viable, but I have been giving more action to 888 because I don't particularly feel like starting tables when I only am playing short sessions, and I hate hate hate the "I wonder if a post has opened in the last 2 minutes" game.

Give me some infraction points now for having a sense of humor then. C'mon I've been very well behaved, changed gears, and now one of the top ranked posters. No need to come at me imo

But I have actually received 10 million infraction points from Rapini once. But they expired in ten minutes. So the stories were blended. That happens a lot in the movies with both characters and plots

I dl'ed borgata/partypoker. I hate the client. way too busy, too much social networking nonsense (my activity feed? really?). can you really not observe cash games without sitting at the table? and why no hu plo cash tables?

sunday tournament is 185+15, and nightly 10k gtd is 91+9. why can't they do 200+15 and 100+9 like every other site?

some of the reasons why I don't play there..but yes, that is how their cash games operate. It is their "genius" way of protecting the games
