I'm another player in middlesex county. Not 1 problem on any of the sites until today. Now its all the sites. I also have 3 or 4 wifi signals that are real close to my house. What a mess.

I tried again, and I was able to play and didn't get booted. I have to say, I like the interface. If only you could multi-table.

On partypoker I've just discovered that I have no location issues as long as I have my web browser open. If I don't have it open I'm booted every 15 min. Give it a try, I'd really be interested to see if this works for others bc it's kinda weird.

As others have said, it's a problem with the location of their internet providers. I live just off River Road in Edgewater, and I can play from home for hours at a time, with just the occasional problem.
You try the Outback there?

I always have Firefox open and minimized. Still having problems today. Why can't these sites have you verified when you log on then lock you in? It's not like I'm going to take my computer into PA.

Yah I know. I was thinking about it...if you're going to cross the state border, you're internet connection is definitely going to go out for a bit. Couldn't they just verify it whenever you connect/reconnect? Seems to simple.

As for the web browser thing, I don't know how to explain it, but it's definitely a near perfect correlation for me. I'm using firefox nightly although that probably doesn't matter but who the hell knows.

EDIT: Middlesex County represent!

anyone have a fix for these geolocation issues on wsop and borgata?

Something to try for those who are getting booted. I set up an old wifi router (in addition to my main one) next to my computer and have not had a location problem since.

All I did was plug in the power cord. It doesn't even have an Internet connection hooked up to it.

I plugged in my old wifi router. No help. My computer sees plenty of other wifi signals anyway.

Regarding having a web browser open, I've had Chrome open the whole time. I tried opening Firefox as well, and no help.

By the way, down by the little icon on the Borgata client that indicates whether your location is accepted, there's another icon for network status. If I hover over it, it says "Excellent". But if I click on it and click on the "Network Status" popup that comes up, it shows the status of two hosts. One of them is www.google.com, and its connection status is "Excellent (100%)". The other one is for www.borgatapoker.com, and its connection status says "Resolving" for a few seconds before saying "Bad (0%)". Anybody see anything different and/or know if this is part of the issue?

I also got booted a couple times tonight off Borgata. I have the BearExtender and have at least 30 signals, so it seems like the geolocation servers were having problems with everyone.

Got booted off party alot tonight as well. 888 was booted off like twice. Wsop four times. Pretty frustrating connection night. But oh well, I did not have to go to the casino to grind 2/5nl with degens all around, to make a living. I got to sit in my leather chair, in my pajamas, grinding mtts, without leaving my house, on fully legal poker sites. What is there to complain about????? This is phenomenal and it can never be taken away Again, like it was on Black Friday. We're back baby. GG casinos.

Dear Borgata: your $h!# is broken. And your customer service is terrible.

I just got a completely nonsensical response to a simple question, paired with a statement that the email address registered with my account is not the email address registered with my account. But it is.

It would be nice if there was one site without an overwhelmingly bad feature. Party/Borgata's lobby and customer service is putrid; WSOP doesn't give out hand histories; is Ultimate any better than them? Ugh. And now I'm on punctuation tilt.

Anyone know why the ridiculous ammount of censorship on party and wsop.com?

on wsop, they have a beer emoticon, but if you say beer, it reads ****

on party, if you type a website, or type pokerroom nothing happens

there are others too

weird

I just don't understand how instant disconnection can be the standard on this. It's like it was decided on by people who've never seen online poker in action before. It's going to alienate every single casual that attempts to play when they get the LULZ PLZ COME BACK TO NEW JERSEY KTHX message and they are forced to fold the nuts in a 200bb pot.

Party/Borgata's policy of at least letting you finish the hand you're in is way better than the instafold on WSOP. This has to improve, though, right? Right??

Yeah, at least finishing the hand is better. But their general approach to the sensitivity/specificity tradeoff wrt geolocation is just far too defensive for a technology that is going to have sporadic hiccups.

I wonder how much longer it will be until we start hearing about the disconnect rig on WSOP.com?

For those playing at 888 did you get your bonus right away? I signed up for the 10K tickets but they never came up in my cashier.
