I see a lot of support for Hood, Klairic, and JH1, all of whom we would be happy to invite. Do these players as a group have the support of the players? Do players feel like there is at least one of these players they will trust to represent them?

We may add another player or two to make sure we have a proper cross-section. It is important that the fixed limit community in particular is represented. Additionally, substitutions to the above players may be required if there are scheduling conflicts or a player decides not to visit.

You are just reading what you want to read. We are mainly asking for 2 things:

-Negotiation to be online
-Remove every change until, we can reach an agreement.

You just focus on your IOM meeting, when we have a real problem tomorrow.

These players seems to have good knowledge and have my support.
But what will happen tomorrow? will you continue as you have planed, ore stop the changes until you have come to an agrement with your players?
Would be +Ev for everyone, Stars and players if you did wait with any change until an agrement is done.

Hood-yes
Klairic-maybe
JH1-maybe

It's tough to tell but just by reading through this thread, that's my 2cents.

+1, you need to start listening and start acting, meetings down the line with NDA agreements is not the problem. How could you not have forseen this situation. I mean it was blatantly obvious that your most loyal customers would not just take this. You have had since earlier this month to sort this out when you mentioned the change and the uproar began.

It's time to start delivering now, it's too late for meetings in months time. What you have done to your most prized assets (your players who pay you) is frankly unforgivable

Are you seriously going to fly over there to negotiate in their house, behind closed doors, and sign NDA's? That should not be done under any circumstances! Why are people even considering this?

Also, Pokerstars, one short post per day which ignores everything and everyone is not a dialogue.

Could not agree more, these players can represent us, but it must be an totally open dialog so that everyone can se and understand what is going on. Signing NDA`s will make the whole thing useless.

I want to put this forward as an official suggestion / 'demand' that I'd like to see considered and discussed. I have explained it in more detail in the other thread, but I believe this to be a full compensation for the change to WC that will benefit games on Stars as a whole the most.
+1

First set of demands I've seen that seems to consider most levels of play.

Forget the multipliers and happy hours. Use rake and rake caps to compensate for the value lost by players due to the wc change.

Use 'the meeting' to determine exactly how much that value will be.

Then Stars should throw in an extra .25 rake reduction across the board for a year as a penalty for the way they've handled this.

As a 2012 full time player I fully support the protest and I'll be a part of the action, if required. I just came back from holidays and noticed what is going on. Could anybody, please, advise, which thread is the best to follow, as there are too many of them everywhere and there is certainly no time to read everything?

It would be a school boy error to reject negotiation offerings on the basis of the poor location. I do think an NDA is justified for a lot of statistics as they have a lot of worth in the industry but other than that i don't think it's needed.

It would also be a school boy error not to negotiate the location itself.

So many people are acting like they own us.

Follow this one, and your participation is definitly required (if feasible of course). If you can't make it for whatever reason, it would help if you spread the word (twitter, facebook, friends etc).

Steve we really need all changes put on hold until the negotiations are over, I believe most people here want this, and it's the right thing to do. Can your next post please include a response to that particular demand? That way we can all take a deep breathe, move on and work out the nominations/logistics of the negotiations. Thanks.

I also don't see why the commitee have to fly to the Isle of Man, if not for luxury threatment to soften them up.
NDA's can be justified tho, in the sense of dealing with confidental data, but if its happening i think it would be best to invite a very good lawyer to the commitee.
For me the whole thing looks like going to the lions den.

Couldn't they just sign a NDA and do it via skype conference call or whatever? (No experience with these things, might be dumb suggestion)

Steve,

1) What is the purpose of bringing people to the IOM? Why are these discussions not held online and/or in public?

2) What is your time frame for completing these discussions?

3) What are you planning on doing in the mean time regarding changes to the rake calculations for the VIP program?

I'm probably OK with the three listed, but I still do not think that is enough players and I'd like to see Noah included as well as some more players.

I also don't think any of this is necessary at all.
