Ordered a Macbook Nov. 2nd, like a week later FTP said it was on backorder.

I e-mailed this Sunday asking for an update on both my items purchased, and today after sending a follow up b/c I got no response, I received the tracking number for the laptop.

Sent out for delivery at 4:00 A.M. today, so it should arrive shortly.

Icon, any early reviews? From this thread and googling, I think the only real issues are the height adjustment and material used. I guess I'll prolly get a couple.

**** the ftp store, nothing has been updated in forever... I couldn't sit around and wait for new ipods so I just bought the new itouch instead - pretty ****ing awesome imo

n4, nice move, this is kind of pathetic, even for tilt support. Arrival in the stores in a 'couple of weeks' which stretches indefinitely is one thing, for the occasional item, but this is getting routine. Not pretending to know what strings they have to pull to get the items in the store, but whatever.

Gah, I was going to get the new pods and touchs as gifts for family, thanks ftp. Now I'm actually going to have to go out and buy stuff!! Damn you!!

I guess they won't budge on coincerage, huh?

Yeah I wanted to get some family members iPods for Christmas. Even if FTP decides to add new items soon theres no way they will be delivered at a reasonable time

I'm not technical guru, nor do I have a ton of insane needs. I use my monitors to play poker, browse, and do a bit of gaming as well. I'm coming from a 17" Dell LCD that is a few years old. I hooked them up dual for a bit and the brightness on the samsung is incredible in comparison. Now I can't even believe I was using the other monitor at all, it's dimness is hard to look at.

I'm really completely satisified with the Samsung. It's big, bright, and came without any dead pixels or other problems. What is the problem with the material used btw?

Well Icon, from what I've read, the parts/material used in the frame (not the display/pixels) seems to be of a lower quality, stand, etc. My dad has a 24 samsung, a slightly older version and I really did like the material quality.

Not trying to be a nit, but just some things I read.

I did the same thing. Agreed, the ipod touch is awesome.

I have some feeling there wont be any ipods till the new year. So when they do come you'll still have to wait a month or so for delivery. And they'll probably sell out immediately cause everyone is waiting for one so you'll wait another 2 months to restock.

You people really willing to wait another 4 months for this thing?

I got the men's napa leather jacket a few months ago. I think it took about 2 1/2 weeks.

Very nice jacket though.

The 30" is significantly better, as in I would much prefer to have 1 30" over 2 24".

The 24" is trash once you start using a 30".

Be aware though that you need to have a video card that can support the full resolution of hte 30", otherwise it is pointless to get the monitor.

Get the 30" and sell the 24".

In every thread that I've ever seen on the subject, I don't think I've heard a single person say anything bad about using a 30" monitor. I have heard many say that one 30" is better than 2 20's, 24's, ect. I am saving up for the 30" and will use it with my 20" on the side.

You know how screen sizes are measured, right? The number you see is the diagonal, and so is not proportional to the area, but to the square root of the area.

So each of the two dimensions of a 30" monitor is 50% larger than the corresponding dimension of a 20" monitor. So, areawise, a 30" is over twice as big as the 20" (1.5*1.5=225% the area), assuming they are both, say, 16:9 widescreen.
