Someone on the last page already had it sent to them as well and he said it has HDMI too http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...ml#post6473879

I'm gonna order it myself at the end of the month I think.
OK. I'm an idiot. HDMI,DVI, D-Sub....Why is this important? Is it only useful if you're hooking up your high def tv to the monitor?

I've got a 10 year old tv and don't plan on hooking it up to my monitor FWIW.

HDMI and DVI are digital and preferable to d-sub. Just depends on which one your video card has.

Yeah, I want to connect my PS3 and my PC to it; PS3 through HDMI and PC through DVI. With the LG that was in the store before, it only had DVI and d-sub, which meant I would have had to connect it to my PC via d-sub and get a converter to connect the PS3 via DVI, which wouldn't have been ideal.

I've got a tv in my front room and none in the office. I have a video card that would allow me to connect a tv to my monitor which I've never used

Connecting a tv to a monitor would probably do nothing.

You probably mean you have a video card that will allow you to use your tv as a monitor. Or you could also mean that you have a video card that would allow you to have the same screen on both the tv and the monitor.

TV can connect to Computer, Monitor can connect to Computer, TV cannot connect to Monitor.

Hello,

Thank you for your email. We will be adding the new generation iPods and
an updated model of the Sony Vaio in the near future. Unfortunately, we
are unable to provide a specific date that these will be available, so
please check the store periodically for new updates.

The last time I sent a suggestion to the ironman store, they were pretty quick to add it (a 100k points for medals item) ... what do you guys think of a collective email where we tell them to add a couple of special things for 10,000 medals? That would provide great incentive for us to grind, and hopefully they would realieze its for their best customers and really make it 'rewarding'

ya, i won't mind saving my ironman medal if they got something like WSOP package. (must be iron man store, as i do not want to take rakeback hit)

If we use the $600 as a benchmark, then each medal is worth 20 cents. Under that logic, 10k medals is about 2k dollars.

What kind of items do you want the Ironman store to have that is valued around 2k dollars?

I think that buy-ins to some of the smaller WSOP events would be nice, as well as custom avatars (as buying them with ironman medals would make more sense as opposed to taking a rakeback hit via fulltilt points).

What I really want them to do is implement a "earn 10k medals, and buy a whole month where you don't pay rake!" sort of promotion.

Cliffnotes: I'd be willing to be part of the mass e-mail.

The rakeback hit is exactly the reason I was thinking it would be better than converting to points, then using the store and taking the hit. Glad we are on the same page

Also, being huge rakers and earning that many medals is a case for getting a much better 'conversion' deal, which is something to aim for

hmm, got an email back after querying where my book was, apparently it was on backorder and got shipped global priority (whatever that means) on the 13th, so who knows when it'll actually arrive

I'm in for the mass email, should we start a seperate thread for this? Who is going to be the lead on organizing. I really like the idea of the WSOP packages for medals, I'm running out of crap to buy in the store.

This is a good idea but i dont think the support is there to update all the new stuff liek stars. Id like to see wsop stuff. Or even them hooking up with a 5 or 7 night stay in a vegas hotel for points.

Although those are all good ideas, FTP has said previously they pretty much don't want the Ironman store to become like the FTP store. So trying to get anything substantial added to it is pretty much a pipedream.

Also, it seems like the FTP store is a super low priority for them. I've sent many emails as have others (I've seen posted ITT) asking about laptops, ipods, bigger items, etc. and they always say "we're in the process of..." or "we're exploring adding..." and then nothing.

They've added a TON since they started having representatives on this forum. Before that the most expensive item you could buy as a bar stool, and there weren't any electronics.

The store has been getting better. Being able to convert Iron Man tokens into WSOP tickets in which the player would have to wear FT gear and other FT crap is a win win for both the players and FT. We play more so they get more rake not to mention advertising at the WSOP, we get WSOP seats and something to motivate us to continue to grind.

Ordered mine two weeks ago, I'll post when I get it down here in Texas. Anyone have any idea how long bigger items like monitors take to ship?
