There definitely should be a NVG thread about this, it would get much more exposure that way.
12-05-2011 , 07:14 PM
Feel free to make it. The mods are breathing down my neck about this; I don't want to make it any worse.

Right, so it would seem. However, Bodog told everyone this wasn't possible. Everyone ITT so far aside from you feels this was very important information to share. It's important that players know what other people might be doing when they are playing in what they thought were anonymous games. It's important that Bodog knows that their plan to anonymize tables isn't working.

Bodog is a 2+2 advertiser; ******** is not. The easy play here for us would be to say that the video was spam, and delete it, but that's not the way we operate. Although this news obviously hurts Bodog, it's important that players know about it. Hopefully they will address players' concerns promptly.

If you feel this is so wrong, how do you think it should have been approached?

We've beefed up security. There is nothing to worry about. We have the hackers on their heels. Everything is fine. Business as usual.

Thank you, Bobo. This is how I feel. I appreciate your support.

I bet the sportbetters would like to know this.

I certainly hope tansania is affiliated with bodog. It would be depressing to find out that people this stupid really exist.

btw, what's ur account #? Or do u not want to share that? Since bodog seems to be ok sharing it with all the other clients/computers.
they should have contacted bodog first instead of putting everyones account at more risk than needed if they had such good intentions

the only thing you can really use my account number for at the moment is to improve your chances of hacking my account compared to how it was before so stop the nonsens

so yes if you use a hack in the future you might be able to use other 3rd party software like hm and pt but if bodog adds hacks not allowed on our site then what ?

bodog should try and make some changes but no matter what they try there will always be programmers a few steps ahead and reason why manually observation of games and whatever is important

They've already run most of the good sports bettors off. There's still a few ringers left, but most of what is left is the hamburgers or the fish of the sports betting community. They won't really care.

I think if people stop responding the blatant incompetence of tansania the thread will stop being derailed by one ignorant poster

...and how is everyone's account "more at risk"...this code isn't being sold or given to anyone. It's only making people aware that there's programmers out there who may be exploiting this at this very moment.

Agreed. On a clueless scale of 1-10 he is at least -100.

Heh heh. Read her posts in the Sports Betting forum, and the responses the SB regulars give her.

The bodog situation just keeps getting worse and worse. Thanks for posting this video kyleb.

Yeah, I'd like to know the user ID of the person who called 3 barrels with queen high against me at a final table the other night. True story. Ace high board, he had like the 11th nut no pair lol...and it was good. (Do they use house players in MTTs? Surely they don't make it that obvious.)

I think I'm becoming a rigtard.

Meh, I don't know that I'd call him stupid, given this latest post:

I understand this POV, I just don't agree with it.

Tansania, the problem is this. Any true hackers, who spend their days trying to steal people's money, have had almost a week now to work on this. I find it hard to believe that ******** is the only one to have found the issue. I think most people feel that getting this information out in the open so players can act upon it the way they deem appropriate by far outweighs the possibility that a few more hackers see the video and then decide to try hacking it themselves. Here are the possibilities as I see them:

1. Bodog fixes the problem quickly. Result is pretty much the same whether the information is made public or not.

2. Bodog takes a number of days to fix it. If the info is kept quiet, hackers who discover it on their own have extra days to exploit without players knowing. If it's made public, other potential hackers have a few days to exploit, but players are all aware and can take action.

3. Bodog decides to do nothing. If the info is kept quiet, hackers who discover it on their own have lots more time to exploit it without players knowing; pretty much until whenever ******** decide they've given them enough time to deal with it. If it's made public right away, they no longer have this time. But for those hackers that didn't know, there's no difference.

Scenario 1 is pretty much neutral. Scenario 2 can be debated, but I prefer it being made public. Scenario 3 is pretty clearly better if it's made public right away.
12-05-2011 , 07:44 PM
and from everything we've seen bodog doo.. scenario 3 is the most likely.

has anyone heard any type of response from bodog on this matter?
