With the way Laak played the last 2 televised cash games the last PAD CG and the PS BG. He did really good those last times (without Antonio at the table with him) so this should be a fun next few days.

No he played his passive style except this time his holdings:
a) improved so much that he can't fold to bluffs anymore
b) didn't get cracked
c) sucked out on people numerous times.

I replayed it. He said "I'll give you some". But he mumbled it and has an indistinct voice to begin with, so the misunderstanding was understandable.

Note, by the way, the difference between how pros react and how the angleshooters at your local casino would.

i think its pretty funny when meltzer does his interview and the fact he considers himself as an agresive player

If he's up against AK, he's not too big a dog (approx. 60/40). If he's up against an overpair, though, he's in really bad shape (if we're talking JJ+, it's worse than 3:1). If we throw together the big pairs, AK and AQ, Dwan was approximately a 2:1 dog against Kaplan's range.

It's tough to see how Dwan was getting the implied odds he needed to call that big raise. (Although it's easier to say that now, after watching Mr. Kotter check it down and lose zero postflop.)

The only way that play adds up is if Dwan thinks a huge part of Kaplan's range is pure air.

Probably already answered somewhere in this topic, but...why is there no announcer this week?

Agree. But I wouldn't want to play with him. He never seems to know what the bet is or who the action is on or who's in the hand.

You DON'T want to play a guy like that?

No doubt Alan is a wealthy successful dude. But I'm real curious about his adventures and travels (being here when this happened and there when that happened). Are they true, partially true or complete BS?

And, was he serious about being an underwear model?

No he was not serious about being an underwear model. Gabe Kaplan was poking fun at Meltzer when he brought up the underwear model thing. Gabe's reasons? a. Meltzer wouldn't shut up, for minutes on end, about all the cool stuff he used to do; and b. Meltzer is not an attractive man.

Are you serious about him being serious about underwear modeling? I mean, seriously....

I think if you get a read on his affect when he said yes about underwear modeling, it sort of makes sense that he was just leveling when he did his interview and said he was an "aggressive" player.

I like Meltz, but i really hope he was joking there....

Let me guess.. Sportsnet Ontario?

Both episodes have had no Ali commentating, so I guess Sportsnet just got a wrong feed or something.

Personally, its better without him.

Alan Meltzer seems like a really decent human being. I don't see how anyone can hate on him after seeing him on this PAD.

I also think he was tired towards the end of the game. You could see it in his game and his demeanor.

LOL,

The spoon is really in Chile, in Allende tomb. The Shah was buried in Saudi Arabia wearing a pair of Alan's underwear. See the signpost up ahead.

I think Durrr is an amazing poker player, but its pretty sick how lucky he gets. If he doesnt hit on the flop, he gets there by the river. On the other hand if i was as lucky as him i would play every hand as well. Must be nice to know you will either flop good or get there by the river. Must be nice indeed.

that's true, dwan hasn't lost any huge pots on TV recently where he got it in as a 3-1 favorite or anything.

So instead of posting in the TV poker forum about hands played on TV poker shows, I guess we should all follow your example and post about how posting on forums is stupid because no one cares?

What were you expecting when you opened the Poker After Dark Cash Game thread, if not discussion of the poker played on the Poker After Dark Cash Game? Maybe it would be better if it was just 600 posts of 'lol alan meltzer is fat'?
