It was a great line-up, some cool spots, and overall a pretty good show.
+2

All three Nets showed a willingness to talk about normal things and you didn't have a blowhard like Hellmuth or a lump like Lederer there. Coupled with the cash game format - which is so much better than the SnG- it made for an interesting week.

lulz except DN would get slaughtered and Cunningham/Ivey/CTS hardly speak. It'd be 5 nights of effeminate hand motions from Durrrr and Daniel with tons of dead air.

Eli, like Sammy is always a good pick for a cash game for entertainment value

anyone know the final chip counts compared to the buyins?

I believe the winners were in order from most won to least won
1. CTS
2. Raptor
3. Doyle

and the losers were in order from least lost to most lost
4. Eli
5. Gabe
6. Taylor

can anyone verify the winners and losers and specifically how much/down each player was for the session?

I doubt Cole was that much of a winner after calling the 40k raise vs Doyle's trips

I thought this week's episodes were the best I've seen on PAD. It's nice to see people who come across as normal and classy rather than your standard matusow/hellmuth kind of ****** archetypes.

Posters in this thread are way too judgemental, I don't think anyone came across as awkward.

It's nice that poker players will see examples of how to act at the table. If you've played live poker anytime within the last few years you will see that it's filled with knuckleheads who make playing the game live no fun unless you like being surrounded by adults who act like children.

Some spots lagged because there was no action or dialogue, but this isn't scripted, it's a form of reality television/sports broadcast.

I thought the interviews at the end were sweet too. It's nice to see PAD show a respect for the game and how it's evolved. For the uninformed it was like a small history lesson.

There was an obvious mutual respect among the players and with all the negative press poker (esp. online) has received, it's nice to show the general public that it's not all filled with dumbasses.

Plus it was entertaining, although I think if you put ALL-nets in a cash episode it would be much more so.

Didnt even know the internet kids but they handled themselves so well. Not like some of the young kids who think they are superstars. Great format.
Plus Jennifer needs to wear the low cut outfits like Tilly now when she plays

Bunch of biased hypocrites itt. If this were a line up of all live players, the overwhelming response would be everyone whinging about how boring and dull it is.

+1. Doyle really did seem clueless about ranges.

and then doyle's quote at the end that "you know David is good cause he raises preflop with 56" was just LOL

Seriously, how can someone type this with a straight face. He has made a living off poker for more than 50 years and you dont think he understands hand ranges. Get a clue!

Eli quote: "Taylor is the only one I haven't seen anything creative out of. You play ABC Poker."

I lol'd hard and Eli's was right. I guess Taylor was only invited becoz he founded CR, he's nowhere near the level of raptor and cts. but hey, taylor will be the first one to admit it and he's made his fortune already.

This is the sort of smart thing poker players should be saying more often.

I agree completely. We have people acting like complete clowns on a lot of poker shows, being very rude to each other, and going on cursing rampages when they lose to a bad beat.

Then some mature quiet guys come on, act respectfully, don't curse or act like crybabys when they run bad or get outplayed, and people say they're awkward. It's not their job to be entertaining. It's their job to play good poker.

It's too bad they picked Gabe and Eli for the show. There are other talented "vets" over the age of 45 that would have closed the skill gap between nets and vets. Bobby Hoff is pushing 70 but can still handle 25/50 online.

Taylor made a great check-raise into Gabe and Doyle on a KTx flop. Doyle laid down KQ. Eli just didn't see the plays because they were never shown down.

BTW, during the post-game interview I think I could hear Leanne Tweeden's brain pop when Raptor talked about Doyle's range.
