not bad so far. I thing in the long run Norm will be better. I love Kaplan but come on in the comedic world he was kind of a hack...great action.

HSP used to be my favorite show, now its way behind the big game, and poker after dark the cash game. Get rid of norm bring in STAPES!!!

Gabe isn't the best announcer by far. BUT he has a genuine love and appreciation for High Stakes that no matter how much Norm gets used to this job he can ever replace. I feel a massive void in this broadcast that really sucks, even though they got rid of AJ and Gabe struggled a bit, I was still ridiculously excited every week last season (yeah FTP pros played a part). But it's like we've watched 6 seasons of High Stakes WITH GABE, hes our boy, the poker friend we wish we had on the coach as we watch this. He would bring up stuff that happened in past seasons and we could all relate, now it's starting over and there's already enough shows out that are NEW that I could care less about "another" cash game show.

I'd love to know the story behind Gabe not being brought back.
I don't frequent this blog very often. Was there a thread here about Gabe and the show?
