So where's the angle?

If anything, he actually told you he ain't foldin' so he gave away his hand as having something better than Ace-high that you held.. you should thank you for the information and check.. because he sure as hell ain't committing his stack with K-high

True that. Just screamed weakness to me. I need to learn to just give up on some pots. Sometimes they aren't folding even when their holdings are marginal.

It WAS weakness in a sense. He had resigned himself to this weird situation so he could mentally reconcile getting the money in there as opposed to wrongly "calling off" his chips with his pair when he "knows" you have an overpair.
