If you don't pay at least 2 mana for the minion it won't get the deathrattle, like for example a sea giant or cards reduced by Emperor. But if it does have the deathrattle then it's for the printed cost, not what you paid. I've been liking Volcanic Lumberer for this reason, and since creature combat is guaranteed it's really easy to get it to cost 6 or less.
Looks like druid of the claw and flame don't get the deathrattle. My opponent played both and conceded after the second one. Maybe it gets the deathrattle, then transforms? If it's not a bug?
Only minions played from the hand get the deathrattle. Druid of the claw is treated like a spell that summons a minion (even though it technically isn't).
This week isn't really consistent that way. E.g., as said above a 1 mana Sea Giant allegedly doesn't spawn a minion.
But a Faceless'd card spawns a minion based on the cost of the minion being copied, not off of the 5 mana Faceless card.
Had a hunter earlier drop undertaker turn 1 (doesn't get the deathrattle), then play animal companion (no deathrattle) then play shredder (why would you ever run shredder over yeti or spellbreaker in the 4 spot?). #huntards
Shredder is too slow in this IMO. Double bloodlust shaman, all 2 drops and 3 drops, all the draw minions, double owl, double earth shock, double mct. I'm convinced it's a near optimal deck list.

Ah, thank you. I had no idea that it was treated as a spell.
