okay last league was a 16 week league. We had 23 sign up and we would count your top 10 scores and drop 6. This was okay except some showed up every week and had the best chance of winning.

Some weeks we had all 23, average week we would have 13-16 players.

I am expecting 26-32 players for the next league.
We will be playing friday nights and twice a month we will play once on a sunday
and once on a saturday.

The bad part of the league was once it got down close to the end , the ones seeing they had no chance just dropped out.

Buy in would be 20 each week for the league and 20 dollar buy in, 20 dollar bounty on previous weeks winner.

We paid top 5 in the league and at the end we had a freeroll which was 1200 bucks since we raked 1 dollar out of every 10 in the cash game after in dealers choice 1-5 spread limit. Usually omaha or pineapple or irish poker.

Anyone have any suggestions. Another guy is actually in charge of my league and wants everyone to pay up 200 up front but 2 already said it was too much. We though about doing less, but then after a few weeks they would stop coming and not pay the weekly 20 bucks like last time.
Last league you could play and not be in the league but not be eligible for the league prizes.
This time you have to be in the league to play our 1st tourney ofthe night.

What do you think about paying 50 up front, then 20 a week until 200 is paid off, and have 12 of 16 scores count. We also want the scoring system to be the same no matter how many show up unless its 12 people one week and 28 showing another.

thanks

this one works. but i guess i was wondering what you were asking...

payment for the league is kinda up to you, and what your players will go for.

legality wise, you need to research how payouts/rake/holdbacks are handled in your area.
some states, 100% has to be paid back each night. i know that some don't care about legality, but it is something to consider.
points wise... our home league has just adopted a new points system that i like a lot.
you take the total # of players for the night and multiply it by 10.
(example - 23 players = 230 points)
then 1st place gets 40%
2nd 25%
3rd 15%
4th 8%
5-8 3% each.

so, if using that example
1st - 92
2nd - 58
3rd - 35
4th - 18
5-8 - 7

we also do a "bounty" type pink chip for each player, that is their "all in"
and if you knock someone out, you get their pink chip. each pink is worth 10 points at the end of the SNG. regardless if you final table, you could end up with points for every knockout.

Try checking out Pfapfap's League stuff. It looks like it would help you out.

its a home game, nothing against the law about it

I just want to know how to set up the league to make it fair for
people that won't be there every week, pretty much everything else is set
