Bruce got crap from Mat for spamming Home Poker.. Of course it was true because he used ALL CAPS too much and didn't participate in other threads LOL. Check out Episode 70 for the details.

I think you are right. If he had participated in other threads, and made his threads about a topic from your episode instead of about the episode itself, it would have been OK.

Heck, in several instances, your topic was about a thread here. If he had posted a comment in those threads it would have made perfect sense.

I wish I would have had these perspectives earlier in the time line before the BOOM was lowered. (sorry for the caps)

I can change, really. I am just an old school marketer/ promoter in the P.T. Barnum vein - "Hit 'Em Hard - Hit 'Em Often"
03-22-2011 , 12:25 PM
Ha...yeah, think guerrilla. But I was as surprised by this as you.
03-22-2011 , 12:38 PM
I was wondering why I hadn't seen a "New Episode" thread in a while.

I like eneely's idea; participate in (or start) relevant discussions here and STOP BEING SO LOUD! Then your plugs friendly pointers might be more tolerable to the top brass.

I would imagine pfap would prefer we have this conversation in another thread.

So, did he self ban himself, come off the self ban, make a few posts and then self ban again?

EDIT: Never mind. I just checked the Ban Me thread.

Sorry for the delays on this, folks, got swamped with some stuff, and then there were issues with the supplies. I should be up and running within a week. I never intended this to be a business; I was just making them for myself. I appreciate your support and patience. I'll try to make it worth your while.

No worries mate! Take your time.

Any update?

I really apologize guys. My life went a bit haywire the day after I posted this. I'm moving to Vegas for the summer, and have been running all around all month. I think things have finally settled down. Anybody who has pre-paid can get money back if they like, but I do expect shipment within the next week.

Im in no hurry. Send it when you can.
04-13-2011 , 02:39 PM
Maybe it's time to call in some help.

Hey, progress! I have to focus on taxes now, but this is what I've whipped together for the title cards. Be my editors, please. Hopefully they read ok (these are 3x5 in reality, tho' I haven't taken them to the computer with the printer yet).

I now have 64 FL cards, 8 PL cards, and 8 NL cards. I'm just going to sell the complete sets, color coded by game type (Hold'em/Pineapple, Omaha, Stud, Draw, and Big Bet), but I don't want to make too many promises until after the production run. The price will not change for those who have already ordered.

EDIT: Already I see a change. I think I need to include "players may discard all, some, or none of their cards" in the draw section.

Very nice! One question about the chinese poker bonus point:

On your cheat card (correct me if I'm wrong) it states that a bonus point is rewarded to the player who wins more hands. I thought the bonus point got awarded to the player who wins more points in total (so in theory you could get more points with a royalty and get a bonus point although you might have lost two rows).

Also; maybe mention that royalties and naturals must be announced beforehand?

Looks fine to me. Do you have Guts as one of the cards? That would be one I would like to see get made and included with the rest of them.

I've always played it as winning more hands in the set vs the player, not winning the most points on the hand. Royalties aren't counted. But that's the glory of Chinese: there's no consistent ruleset! Whatever you want on your card, that's what I'll give ya.

My understanding on this is that you wait until showdown, that way people can surrender first. Otherwise, you announce royalties, and everybody surrenders.

Aigh! Guts scares me. But send me the text you want to see, and I'll whip it up.

These things are basically ready for production, again I feel bad about the many delays, just one thing after another. I'm emailing folks today right after I finish this post to nail down specifics, and let them change the Chinese system if they want, etc.

Here are a couple more 2-sided cards I'm including, regarding general rules for each game format. It's impossible to succinctly summarize PL on one card, but hopefully this is helpful. Feedback on editing is appreciated!

I'm going to start a new thread with the new breakdown and options once I get this going, but basically how this works is 64 cards organized by Hold'em/Pineapple, Omaha, Stud, and Draw. The graphics are for FL, but any game can take any form. If you intend to have mixed format games, I can also provide PL and/or NL cards for games you choose.

Actually I've always been playing it like you did, but I saw the rules how they were being played at the Commerce I try to seek some sort of a standard so I though that is a pretty safe bet. So yes, please

Yeah that makes sense, we play it so that you can surrender first, and the rest of the players who stay in still have the cards face down, after that, before you turn the cards face up, then people with royalties or naturals they have to announce it.
