They've been pointing to this "Sansa becomes evil" line for so long I think it's a feint.

Ultimately she's still a Stark, albeit one who's savvier to "the game" than poor old honorable Ned ever was.

I envision her coming to some ruthless decision that Jon would never be capable of making that saves them all.

It's pretty obvious she will use Littlefinger and get the best of him.

Seems like a lot of relating Dany to the mad king in that ep. I enjoyed that episode lots going on. Euron def getting main event villain push
07-24-2017 , 01:22 AM
What happens with Euron & Cersie when he returns triumphantly to KL expecting some ale and some tail? Surely he's not going to keep fighting her war without them getting married right?

What ever became of the Bank of Bravvos storyline? Don't the Lannister's still owe them a ton of gold?

I was really hoping to see a Bronn - SandSnake sex seen . Their arc sucked, but those girls were hot af.

Any chance there is serious backlash directed at Tyrion ? Seems like they could think he pushed this plan cause it was a well thought out trap.
.

There's no chance in hell Cersei-Euron alliance goes well for either of them.
07-24-2017 , 01:48 AM
Cersei-Euron are gonna get hitched, or at least make plans to, he's proven that he can deliver what she needs.

Obviously it won't end well, she'll be looking to get rid of him the first time it's convenient to do so and he's demented.

Particularly when he could have held his nose and been nice to Littlefinger. Now he's just ****ed himself.

I'd have thought that defeating the fleet was enough of a gift.

I think I said earlier in this thread that it'd be fun if the gift was the sandsnake who likes Bronn, she's the only one who survived, so this'll be interesting.

Also the part with Varys talking about not giving someone personal loyalty, though presumably the filming schedule meant that was just coincidence.

Iron bank storyline kind of fizzled with stannis I guess

They backed Stannis. That was the point of their arc, I think.

I think people are slightly overestimating what a Sansa heel turn would look like. She's never going to become a villain, I think we'll just see some sort of subplot where her desire to protect herself and her family leads her to drama, potentially drama that has bad consequences, especially given LF buzzing around.

Maybe, but considering the Lannisters still owe them a **** ton of money it's always possible that Dany promises to pay them if they help her or something, just like Stannis did.

A thing that bugged me on my walk into work: I'm pretty sure you just sink if you're in the sea wearing chainmail. You can't swim around looking for wreckage.

I still don't see how Sansa gets the best of littlefinger. LF is out here playing chess and Sansa just learned the rules of checkers

Seems like she thinks she knows what he's up to, but really has no idea

She's the only person who has ever tried to compete with him while knowing what he wants.

Yeh - 'that's not you' as in, you don't need to follow me north, and be part of my family again.
07-24-2017 , 06:39 AM
Ah okay, that's what I thought she said but didn't make sense to me. I thought maybe she was talking herself into believing it was a different wolf so her feelings wouldn't be hurt.

They Greyjoy heirs went from Greyjoyland to Mereen and then to Dragonstone. They sailed halfway around the world, we don't know the time reference but it's obviously a decent amount of time.
07-24-2017 , 07:18 AM
If you think Sansa is going to be LF's puppet then you just haven't paid attention to her arc.
07-24-2017 , 08:38 AM
I'm not convinced there's enough time left in the show for Sansa to take a true heel turn. There are what, 11 episodes left? I doubt we can see a heel turn and a white walker war unless they really condense things. I think the simplest explanation is the correct one - the Sansa story arc will complete as it has been setting up for - she will have learned how to play the game and will "defeat" LF in some way.
07-24-2017 , 09:10 AM
I suppose Bran will make his way to Winterfell and tell Sansa of his vision about Jon's real parentage, throwing a monkey wrench into Jon's claims to be King in the North.
07-24-2017 , 09:15 AM
Thought that episode was pretty bad. Feels like things are getting rushed through which is not surprising given how little screen time is left. Jorah's grand greyscale cure is that Sam read a thing in a book? OK. What else happened that ep other than that Jon rode south and Euron captured Yara and whatsherface the Sand Snake. It was pretty much more exposition.

She's headed to Winterfell. I have her as odds on fave to off Littlefinger.
