had a dealer stop dealing for a good two minutes to chat with a player at the table. its as if he was an unpaid volunteer.
furthermore, it appears every dealer believes they are the second coming of chris rock. like they missed their true calling of being a stand up comedian. i guess the extra rake is paying for unprovoked dealer story hour.

That old codger who talks out of the side of his mouth, Ron I think? God damn, terrible dealer. Like, made me want to not tip ever for fear that he might get something terrible.

At the #fakeNAPT at the Bike I had a dealer who literally didn't know the rules. I can't remember what he asked about, but it was really basic. His excuse was it was his first time dealing in three years and I was like waaaaat. He would deal cards in a manner that exposed them to the rest of the table as well.

True that. Was in Rio Deepstack last week on the bubble and the dealer's telling lame jokes. Not one hand, several hands of dumb jokes. I ignored him but other players yuk yuked their way to the rail. Dealers need to deal at WSOP this is not a try out for a standup comedy gig.

How hot is it right now in Vegas, I see weather.com says highs of between 100 and 110 in the next week or so, but what does that feel like out there? is it hard to walk the strip from say, Flamingo to the Venetian or Flamingo to the City Center?

It feels that hot. I'm from Arizona and the temperatures are quite close. The sun really beats on you in Vegas. I walked from Rio to the Walgreens by Venetian at noon last Saturday. It was hot but not unbearable, just drink water. I mostly wore a tank top, light shorts and flip flops and was comfy.

I walked everyday and yes it's hot but it's a dry heat blah blah.
I had jeans on most the time and walked and was a-ok.
Btw, flamingo is pretty sweet. I thought it would be old and dumpy, and it wasnt. Not sure why they don't promote the hell out of it. And I'm pretty sure they gave me a free room upgrade cause I was thoroughly impressed with it and it was a comped room and seemed better than what I would expect a regular room at the flamingo to be.
But about the heat and walking thing, you'll be fine. Just bring chapstick and wear deodorant.

The heat isn't that bad, the wind is worse imo. Monday/Tuesday it's supposed to be 102 with thunderstorms lol, should be fun
