Apparently the kid (almost 18 now) that I've sort-of helped raise is getting recruited by USC, Wash U (in St. Louis) and a bunch of other schools to be on their crew team. Which is amazing since @ 5'6" she's by far the smallest girl in the top boat at her club, and USC is supposedly a bunch of Amazons. She's just really strong and works really really hard at it.

This may be the closest to a proud parent moment I ever get. It's fun to watch her do everything right that I did wrong in HS.

It probably is better to ignore it but I'm fairly new to a lot of strat I've been reading so I've been trying to use it as an indicator of how I've been playing. I'm still very uncertain of what the optimal line is in loads of spots. I'm gonna give that thread a proper read to try and understand it better.

I showed that clip to my wife, who expressed enormous sympathy for the poor guy. She well knows how miserable I am when I bust 10-19th in any of the big field tournaments. This weekend I have friends from middle of the country over on Saturday, so likely won't be there, maybe tomorrow.

Its one of the nicest cities in Dutchieland with 50k students on a 180k population, so great for nights out.

In my opinion that's why all the pro's say never play near a significant other! Autotilt and definite runbad! I can't tell you how many times I've had 4 tables running late stage and my gf says hey can you come help me with...(fill in the blank) then proceeds to blow up when I say I can't. "Why cuz you may lose 20$?"

Sounds pretty awesome. We rented a place here for 2 weeks and are playing a dece amount of live tourneys + want to check out the city a bunch but keep in touch and I'm sure I can convince people to go to a college town to party at some point since we all graduated/dropped out and don't get any college party time in anymore.

I think it's prob more likely than not they go to the BCS championship, but Zona and OSU are gonna be tough. I actually hate all the different jerseys but whatever. Hopefully Lamichael James can win the heisman.
