anybody playing on one of the new 2015 dell xps laptops? how do you guys think they will fare for mass tbling mtts? how good does 3200x1800 really look on a tiny 13" screen? can u actually like 20 table tiled? assume **** it just so tiny that u gotta have perfect eyes to do that

phalt had a laptop with 1920x1200 or something and that was hard as **** to see as is. You just need screen size no matter the res. I can't imagine 13' is viable for anyone who isn't stacking tables.

I have a version of Windows as an ISO file. I extracted this to an external hard drive and want to out it on a brand new computer that does not have windows on it.

It starts to boot windows, gets just past the part where you select language and location then it fails saying a necessary driver is missing.

I have no idea how to fix this, any suggestions?

Really really dependent of how many tables you average and what else you plan to do with your setup (ie. gaming ?)

I went from using two 27" to a single 32" six months ago, choosed the Benq BL3200PT. It's a WQHD, not a 4k, but 2560x1440 and I love it. And honestly, I don't think anyone needs a 4k resolution, even for grinding.

If you want to have an idea or compare, it's the same pich as a 1920x1080 on a 24", which you can compare/try out easily.

The 34" is going to be usefull only if you have a table numbers/placement that goes well with it. And even so, I would probably recommend using a 30-32 with a small pivot monitor on the side instead.

unfortunately 16:9 isn't really the best resolution for poker tables.

My only thought is that its easier to look up and down vs side to side. Vertical pixels are your friend.

@DoGGz what would you recomend for someone playing up to 12-14 tables?

stack and tile, lol. You can do a mockup/test in paint with different resolutions and try to use that to decide. Like for example I can't handle Stars smaller than 645 x 472 but everyone has their own preference.

I`ve bought new PC with new 29'' monitor.
Its very powerful with all necessary stuff included but my feelings is it works laggy at max 3500x2100 resolution (don`t remember exact numbers), feels like mouse cursor moves with some delay. Not horrible laggy, but slower than on my prev PC.
GeForce GTX960 supports this resolution with 30Hz refresh rate only, I changed to 1980x1200 (which is max resolution supproted with 60Hz rate) and it works faster but I`d say still slower than on prev PC.
Maybe I`m just unused to big monitors or maybe its a problem

I searched this thread, it seems someone talked about setting custom resolution which can to surpass higher resolution with 60Hz rate. Is it possible?

What others issues can it be? (Video card has 2015 drivers installed)
Maybe SSD/HD drivers which are pretty old.

Is it some std issue with huge monitors?

Thanks.

Sounds like you have a bum monitor. What you describe used to be a problem with LCD screens way back when they were new tech. It's possible the super high-res screen you bought has that delay. If so the only fix is getting a new monitor. Test out your system on another screen if you can.

If the system was the problem you'd be experiencing micro freezes and other instability and not a continual 'clean' input delay.

Can you 12 table on a 27" 2k (1440p) monitor? I comfortably use 6 tables on my 24" 1080p Asus. Looking to double that.

you should be able to 12 table on a 1080p without any real overlap already

Does anyone know if an utlrawide monitor would be any good for multitabling? It seems like it would be like having two monitors side by side. I was thinking about getting a 34in one which has a 3440 x 1440 Pixels. Any thoughts or advice?? Thanks

Hey all!!

I'm looking to build myself a new, poker dedicated desktop PC for grinding.

I live outside the USA as a poker refugee but I travel back and forth quite a bit. I think I want something in a super small case that would be pretty easy to pack in a suitcase and take home with me or to tournament stops around the world.

Obviously I want to be able to multi-monitor and be able to run several poker clients at the same time along with PT4, skype, music, etc.

My brother suggested this build:https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/co...d_suggestions/

Just wondering what your thoughts are. I'm not totally clueless but I've never built a PC before so I'm pretty green there. I'm just not really knowledgeable about what is necessary and what is overkill, etc.

I'm also open to suggestions for other cases. Not sure about this one- my brother thought it looked cool but it might even be too big to comfortably fit into a suitcase.

I also thought $800 was kind of high compared to what most builds for poker come out to but again I'm not really sure. Perhaps it is just costlier when using a small case. I'd be willing to pay more if needed - any input is greatly appreciated

If you are traveling I highly HIGHLY recommend just getting a laptop. New laptops can do everything you want them to do at a slight $$ premium. Traveling with a PC tower is not only annoying but can also raises red flags on border crossings that you might not want to deal with.
