I don't know if anyone cares about a silly sit and go player but if you have any questions, go for it.

Onetime first?

1. Age, sex and location?
2. How did you get started in poker?
3. What's yor favorite thing to do when your not playing?

Edit: Omg so sick I got beaten to it

I'm going to bed now, and set the line on # posts when I wake up in ~8 hours at 43.

25, male, michigan

deposited 50 dollars just like everyone else. played mostly when i was drunk with a college buddy of mine.

my favorite thing to do lately is improv at a local comedy club in detroit here. i'm usually pretty reserved but i took a class with a friend and it has done wonders for me.

i suppose they came natural since i've been winning since i started playing, but i attribute that to discovering cardrunners (shameless plug) early and watching the action jeff videos which opened up my eyes fairly quickly. i'm not sure you can really be a "natural" at sit and goes because they are so mechanical sometimes. i think it is more about being a student of the game and constantly tweaking your strategy more than an inherent "feel" like you would with deep stacked NLHE, PLO cash or some of the limit stud games

119s and 60s, full ring and six max. i quit super turbos a few days ago although ive had considerable success in them it was taking a lot of fun out of the game for me. and yes, i actually do enjoy playing sit and goes. i think i am the only person i know who does.

i am a full time player now, i quit my job where i was working on the sports desk at a newspaper about 4-5 months ago.

two 24s, ergonomic mousepad and keyboard, table ninja, HEM, my brain

usually between 8-12 depending on how I feel. i've always been a firm proponent of not playing too many tables as the path to the most profitability. if you are always 20 tabling you won't be able to grow as a player and always default to the "standard" play which might get you some nice rakeback but not much else. i know some of the stars guys like Sippin mass table and seem to do well but I think you need to be a real freak to pull it off.

i've always played on Full Tilt. i think I played about 15 games on stars before taking my money back to Tilt because i could have sworn their RNG was rigged (sample size lolz)

The reason I asked was because i wanted to get your opinion on the 'Tier One' Sit n' go's where winner gets the majority of the prize pool but in satellite token form.

Do you think these can be profitable in the long run?

Do you play the other games (stud/limit/omaha) too? If so, any reason you feel more at home with NL SNGs?

What made you decide to play exclusively SNGs as opposed to other forms of poker?

im sure they are very soft but i don't see a point in making them your main game since they dont run very often.

besides me? for full ring i would consider beanmo to be by far the most solid. he puts up big numbers year after year despite playing the most vanilla game ever, never makes mistakes. i would put braminc as 1b but he plays like 10 games a month nowadays

as far as six max, honestly i think everyone is terrible. i don't like seeing mjcace or jhub at my table but they play a fairly straightforward game that isn't too annoying to play against.

yes i love mixed games, sometimes you will find me at the 4/8 mix on full tilt. omaha 8 and stud 8 are very underrated games imo. i love SNGs because if you make a big mistake you can just load a new game and it won't destroy your earn like it would in a cash game. when i play no limit cash i find myself playing perfect for two hours and then i punt a stack or two while tilting and all my profit is erased.

i answered it a bit above but i like the structure of sit and goes. i am a very methodical and organized person (a bit OCD perhaps) and I think sit and goes play to that type of personality. i am pretty analytical/scientific about everything which obviously helps when trying to solve the sng equation. i was never much of a creative type which i really think you need to be to excel at cash games of any reasonable stake (2/4 and above) which i've come to terms with that i just don't have. also if you put in the work you can print a large sum of money with very little effort once you have put the work in!
