Gross spot. I don't mind a jam pf.
The way you played it I think I would rather check/call than jam if you are not planning on folding.
You are never folding out an A with a jam and I don't see how you ever get called with worse unless he is one of those guy who loves his flush draws.

I'd just raise a bit more pf (2.4-2.5x) especially given a cold caller at BU.
That's more value than a MR or a shove & still has a lot of playability.
