Hi, not to blow my own trumpet and this is a bit outdated (I would now minraise from t50 onwards for various reasons) but this might help: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/36...-tl-dr-176871/

and the other posts in this sticky: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/36...collection-50/

are really good.

For real?

I've been playing cash games for the past 2 years but have recently switched to 1.50 6m turbo sngs to build my roll up again from next to nothing. Doing ok so far but is it worth me switching back to cash games? At what level do sngs become reg filled? And are the glory days well and truly over for sng players?

Thanks

I want ask about this basic hand

PokerStars - $11.28+$2.82+$0.90|100/200 NL - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): 27.28 BB
SB: 33 BB
BB: 7.23 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 8 K

Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, BB raises to 7.23 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 5.23 BB

BB is 22/21 with 13% restl (more 3handed i believe), we are happy to min/call everytime?

Ya, fold if unsuited. Not exactly pot odds, but close.

Why is this such a huge difference?

You probably didnt set SB/BB ranges when Hero folds. Its very important how SB behaves after your folding in these kinds of spots.

I'm making comeback to sng's and try to figure how this is working.

Is EV line working right on 18man sng's? Hm1 or hm2? Because I see that if i bust on first table both hm1 and hm2 think it have been turbo single table tournament. So if I filter only "turbo" tables is ev-line then right?

Are the 6 max hyper turbo sng's on Pokerstars still beatable at the $100+ level? I hear a lot of people say they are just for rakeback grinders but you see a lot of the big players posting good results. Are they just running above EV or is it beatable even with the number of regs?

What are the best sites with information on the 6 max hypers? I know of sng grinders. Is this the best option for learning 6 max hypers?

thanks

Is there a rough rule of thumb for how many 9 man turbo SNG's you can play per hour?

Trying to work out if I put aside 2 hours a night for SNG's, how many tournaments that would equate to.

35min/table so about 1.7/tablehour (ignoring load times). Depends at lot on your site, if stars you can load quickly, everywhere else you are screwed except maybe $2 sngs some other places.

If you mean software which auto-regs you, Table Ninja does the job.

~32 min according to my sample.
If you just wanna play 2 hours you're bound to starting all SnGs at about the same time (which makes table selection and medium/high stakes impossible), otherwise volume will suck. I personally much prefer one 6 hour session to three 2 hour sessions.

So if I 10 table (and keep the table count at around that) will this equate to about 20 games an hour?

Sorry for the ****** questions, just trying to work out how to calculate SNG volumes, with cash its a lot easier.

No worries.
Will be less than 20 obv cause they run a little >30 min plus you're not able to start 10 tables instantly, depends on how often your games run.

Why don't you just have a try? -.-

Making a volume calculation and making a maximum volume calculation are not the same.

If you wanna know how much games you can play / hour (on average), you need to use numbers that base on experience.

However, if you only got 2 hours to spare you cannot calculate with the average time. You will need to use the maximum length instead - when you decide if you should start another table. So if the longest you ever needed for a game to finish is 50 minutes, and you only have 120 minutes to play, you cannot start another game once 71 minutes have passed.

Therefore the real question is: what do you wish to calculate?

Why do people grind the >$100 hyper Sats, I always thought the money in the was from the VPP but compared to the cash hypers, the sats offer such fewer VPPs, so why grind them, are they insanely more profitable or something?
