Is ROI 12,6% (EV ROI also 12,6%) with 6-8 tabling on 2+0,25usd good?

371 tournaments.

My EV line was 175 tournaments on breakeven.

The ROI is definitely good, however the sample size is quite small IMO. I think ~1000 games should give you an idea of what your sustainable ROI is.

Full Tilt or Pokerstars. Assuming you'll be starting at micros I would recommend FT if you have rakeback. If you haven't already made an account, make sure you get rakeback.

Just started playing the super turbo 9man STT's.
First hand you are UTG...What do you do with the following?
22
44
A9s
ATo

Also, is this standard or plain bad? Thanks in advance.

[converted_hand][hand_history]Full Tilt, $10 Buy-in (15/30 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

CO: 285 (9.5 bb)
BTN: 638 (21.3 bb)
Hero (SB): 270 (9 bb)
BB: 300 (10 bb)
UTG+2: 300 (10 bb)
MP1: 300 (10 bb)
MP2: 307 (10.2 bb)
MP3: 300 (10 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 2
6 folds, Hero raises to 270 and is all-in, BB calls 240

Flop: (540) 8 6 9 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: (540) 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: (540) T (2 players, 1 is all-in)

I fold any of those hands first hand in superturbos with 10bb effective stack sizes. If you play such games i would advise you to go with that kind of spots
into sngwiz and fiddle around. You will see, even at superturbos first hand utg
is a fairly tight shove.

If BB calls you wide (eg. he is a reg and you will see him snapcalling Q6s or stuff) then its a fold. Otherwise (more likely) its indeed pretty standard.

Thank you for the quality response.
How many buyins should I looking to keep for each level? I'm a decent MTT'er, although I do not have much experience with super turbos I pick things up very quickly. I will be playing 4 tables at a time.

I started playing 1€ Single table 9 man turbo sng's.

I am just starting off right now with SNG WIZ and HEM. I have been playing 6max cash until now. I am gonna get a bigger BR as soon as I transfer my money from some other site back to PS but for now I have 60BI

I have a two questions

1. Is 60BI big enough for this games
2. Can you recommend a good book or some videos (if I need them at these micros)

If you are playing just 4 tables and you are willing to move down instantly, go with something like 50+ BI imo. If you start to multitabler more intensivly then
i would advise you to have at least 100BI. If you play higher games just add some BI to your BR management. But im not a reg in these games. Just my 2c.

I have a stupid, and way too general question. To which im still expecting at least somewhat helpfull answers :-)

Is 8% rake for 6 player turbos beatable for great players if 4 of the players in addition to you are good players / decent grinders. I.e there is only 1 bad player out of the 6. Im talking mainly about the 20 to 200 buyin SNGs.

One of the things I am struggling a bit with is pre-flop play in the low to mid blind stages of these STTs. Probably super obvious spots here so I decided to post them in the beginner thread as to not make a mockery of myself as I've just converted to STTs so I really would like an idea on how to play these..

I would assume that any 6max table containing more than 4 good players is probably unbeatable. But if you are one step ahead of all other regs you might be able to turn a profit. Instead of bothering about rake, i would practice table selection. Even on stars i find softer tables than that ^^.

if i were to 4-8 table either $11 + $1 on FTP or $15 + $1 on pokerstars (9man turbo SNGS) for say about 25-30 hours per week....
but i didnt have rakeback on FTP...

which one do you think would be more profitable? taking into account things such as cash bonus's etc etc

thanks

16+1 on stars is equal 16+1,45 on fulltilt, rakeback would be 0,39

its easy to see that stars offers a really good rake structure, that beats fulltilt WITH rakeback. and you get bonis on stars too...

the other thing is that many good players realize that too

Thanks. Problem is the network I play on doesn't have many games on the stakes that I find worth playing, so near to impossible to practice table selection.

Regarding pokerstars, I have actually been drooling over some of their lineups even at the $500 level :-). They seem to quite often have 2 players with ROI of -20% in them, might be the time of the day though (early morning European time).

Could someone tell me how they go about tableselecting?

Im playing on certain hours on FTP and always seeing about 3-4 of the same TAG players. Even tho I believe I am better then at least 2 of them, I think my edges are marginal and would be better off playing a complete table of non regs.
I was wondering how others table select. Do you wait until there are about 4 players registered? I used to just start a complete line(6 tabling 6 max btw) of empty games.
But the other regs are just dumb and sit with me. Ive even talked to one of them about it and his only response is: I dont look at who Im sitting.
