And somehow you were completely incapable of even coming on here and saying "I cant address the text SPAM, but im looking into it, and rest assured we will address this to your satisfaction."

Better to just ignore ten posters and hope they dont notice..... and continue to send it. Its inexplicable.

I had 40 of those $10 bonuses to clear. I clear one and now the status bar is showing instead of the bonus bar.

We've captured all of the feedback from the 2p2 community regarding the text message communication, and have sent it to the product team as a priority. We will provide information as it becomes available. Thank you.

to WSOP REP--- here is a bonus page and a sampling of other bonuses offered around the internets
http://www.pokerbonuses.com/

Just click on some of the offers and you'll see quickly how BAD your bonuses are.

At present we have as options--- UP with terrible software and WSOP with TERRIBLE bonuses (and because of that no traffic). We must hope that new sites coming along aren't as clueless as UP or as broke as WSOP (Caesars entertainment is in debt up to its neck)
Since apparently my previous language was too strong and my post was deleted:

Im not sure why their rakeback program being awful for the players should come as a huge shock considering the way they've treated their B&M customers for years.

Is that language more acceptable?
09-27-2013 , 08:45 PM
Well WSOP/Caesars doesn't own the software, and competitors are going live with the same software shortly.

The only things they do control, loyalty program and customer service, have been what we should have expected from the company who gave their customers what they had been asking for by adding resort fees and improved their loyalty program by raising tier point requirements.

So impressive!

Most people do. And everyone should be able to choose if they wish to receive junk mail/texts/phone calls or not.

Sending advertising spam without permission and with no opt out is totally out of line.
I think most people could give a f. Other than some very vocal complainers on 2+2. Try replying STOP if you don't like it, that should work.

Myself, I want larger player pools. I think a better angle would be to only TEXT when there is a DEPOSIT BONUS. But please WSOP, don't stop with the texts, I think they are a great idea.

Do the uncleared bonuses expire in 30 days?

I'll give a reasonable situation as to why texts are a problem. I had to buy a phone because Sprint/Virgin isn't serviced by WSOP. I paid $15 for the phone and $15 for a prepaid card so I have already paid $30 plus tax to play at WSOP.

Every time they send a text it costs me $.20. If they send a text every day it then costs me $6 a month to keep a phone to use with WSOP than it should. It is not much, but every 2.5 months I will have to go buy an extra $15 prepaid card to cover their texts which also costs time and may take me out of the game for a few days until I get time to run to Target (assuming Virgin Mobile does not come online before then).

If the texts are coming from the same source as the location typing STOP may put an end to the location service too. I had enough trouble getting it to work that I do not think I want to mess with that. There is also nothing in the message instructing that it can be stopped etc.

I am not bothered enough by it to make a big deal but I have paid $30 before I could even get into action. The thought of paying more money so they can send me messages I don't want is annoying and I vote they either dump the idea or make it clear how to opt out without it messing up the geolocation service.

OTOH If they serviced my Virgin Mobile phone where I get free texts I probably wouldn't care although I would still prefer a way to opt out.

Fair enough. They should definitely offer a way to opt out. I believe by replying STOP it will opt you out. I believe this is the law. WSOP failed to include that in the text however.

ATTN: WSOP REP Can we get some feedback on this pronto please?

Hey Poker addict im having the same issue except I am not getting the texts from WSOP i purchased the $15 go phone from at&t and I had to buy the $15 prepaid card thing as well because my main phone is sprint. I was wondering if you purchased the same go phone as well and could help me out
09-27-2013 , 09:44 PM
I don't understand why the daily $100 freeroll starts at 6:45 and the $100 Welcome freeroll starts at 7:00. Because the breaks are cut short, from five minutes to three because it tries to match them. Why not just start them both at 7:00?

I bought an Alcatel 510 phone from Target with a $15 prepaid card. I had to do the same thing with UP because they did not service Virgin at first but after I let the prepaid card expire AT&T killed my # and sim card so I had to buy a new one.

I signed up for "Pay Per Use" at bottom of the chart on this page:

http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/pla...paidplans.html

It gave me some random phone number and I set up the number with WSOP. It took several tries of "send SMS" but it finally worked.

Before I bought this phone WSOP tech support called me and had me try texting YES to 47774 before he realized Virgin was Sprint. Apparently, if your network is supported, texting YES to 47774 will activate it if you are not getting the SMS from the automated system. Some systems block automated SMS until a number gets whitelisted so that may be happening with you. That was how I got verified at UP so maybe there is something to it.

I am certainly not qualified in cell technology to know of any other workarounds other than what I have learned from being in this situation at both UP and WSOP. Maybe there are some cell experts that have other ideas.

+infinity. Dont forget taking third place money from every WSOP tournament they run. We can go on and on.

This may be the 10th time I've asked this, but where are heads up sit and goes? How were this not available on launch it doesnt take much to get these going they arent 9 mans.

How do you guys have you're own dedicated area on this forum and you cant hire someone to respond timely and efficiently. You guys will respond to one thing randomly every 30 posts. If we could just hand your software over to ultimate Id be happy.

I assume the 888 client has these available, just like it has PLO/8 available. Why would you pick and choose what to offer when you clearly have no clue what you're doing? If you're just using a software skin, and its all available to you, then use it and offer it. Let people play what they want to play. Why dictate and wrongly, straight out of the gate? Its truly, truly mind-boggling.

The customer service issues really shouldnt be surprising to anyone, but to use a pre-existing software platform, and not use all the games/features available to you is beyond incompetent and laughable.... even for them.

The fact is heads up sit and goes have always and will always be popular. They dont need a huge player base to offer these. The 9 mans wont run because noone registers because noone sees them running, its a complete circle. Noone wants to put their name on a list just to have to unregister 3 hours later after it doesnt run.

Also 888 has a mobile client, why wasnt that launched as well? This could only add to their player pool.

I hope this site stays this small until after all those tournaments next month. Id be happy if each tournament got 100 people in it with these hude added prize pools. How they own the most known company in poker and blow it this badly is insane.

Agree 100% aside from the last comment.

If the WSOP was judged on merit alone, it would fail also. A captive audience and no competition is a helluva nice thing to have, but again, its hard not to succeed here. You're using a pre-existing platform. Keep your hands off of it and use it.

I am not saying that wsop itself is a successful and well liked company, but rather that the nam is widely known. Even people outside of poker know what it is. Where as noone thinks poker and station casinos in the same sentence. I am pretty discouraged with wsop so far and hope this will change.

As far as complaints about traffic go, it's unfair and crazy to compare WSOP to U.P. at this time. Ultimate Poker has been going now for about 5 months.......WSOP only for about 1 week. Be real.

That does not work here or elsewhere.

There is no such law.
09-28-2013 , 12:41 AM
They need to add both heads up sngs and cash games, also more limits and please add some draw games. five card/seven card anything would be nice. Are we asking for too much???
09-28-2013 , 05:47 AM
Get rid of full ring PLO. Divides the player pool too much. Full ring tables never run on Stars.
09-28-2013 , 08:46 AM
Sometimes I randomly get sat out of the game.

Saw a guy rathole by leaving the in the middle of a hand.
