Lucky you!

Hooray for December, I wish this month would never end. The games have been great and I have been running even better. WTSD & W$SD 40/58. Up almost 500 BB in 12,000 hands. (Probably just activated the doomswitch) Poker is fun for everyone. (thanks prahlad)

Verno, what's your sn?
12-29-2009 , 01:44 PM
Plus2 on stars. I am not quite up to LePeste level yet. I am still playing with Scorcho, but I am mixing in 2/4 and 3/6 when I can find great games.

Nice, that's the way I like moving up also. Cherrypicking as you get used to the size of the game.

I think you underestimate how +EV having lurkers reading the forum can be for all of us.

Quote:
Trypt... 39% is sooooo high for someone like you imo... especially w/ all these jerks raising their button 60-80% like they do. I fold like 0% BvB usually so that brings it down a lot.
I see several bad 5/T regs who've read advice like this. They lack the skill to play post flop, and so their 0%-20% folds BB to steal % results in them spewing money to stealers (us). You'll see a DeathDonkey vid where he open limps in the SB, doesn't 3 bet anything out of position, or has someone talk about the balance from never capping-- for the next few weeks you'll see a bunch of the 0BB/100 to -1.0BB/100 trying out this advice in every situation. They make no distinction on position of opponent, number of opponents, recent history, or any of the other factors you consider when applying this strategy.

Poker is so faddish. You give a lot of these guys an excuse to make a non-standard (fancy) play, and they'll spend the next month or two (or forever) lighting money on fire because good 2+2 posters said it was the new expert mode. I picture them all at home in their mom's basements eagerly reading the forum while being afraid to post in between long sessions of breakeven grinding. The words are like manna from heaven for them. Just don't fear that they'll actually understand it.

+motherf-ing1. Pretty much sums up my month as well!

Hmmm... mine seems like 2nd best full houses, quads beaten, a SF beaten, and set under set about twice every thousand hands. Other than that, a great month indeed. At least playing with some new/bad players has made it all seem more interesting. I cant imagine how much I would have lost if most of these guys didn't LOLslowplay top set. Every time it happens, I run GiantBuddha's comment through my head and try to think about how many DS$ I'm up because he decided to not cap 3 streets vs. my middle set on a dry board.

I have been a break-even player for the past 3 years. I was a FR guy that thought I was the best player at the table and realized I knew very little about poker. So I switched to 6max in Oct., read WITHG twice, got a DC membership and started to post my thoughts on hands in this forum. Poker has become fun. That, and I changed from a 20/12 guy to a 28/21 has made it fun to sit down and play poker. (I can't imagine what it would be like to be 35/28)

/end poker story

Hi Guys

I stop playing today and loose the bet , because i don't feel good the last days. Since saturday evening when i go to sleep , i have pain in heart and prefer stop and don't want to play with my health. Already played 12K hands yesterday and need same volume for the last 3 days , but to tough especially after played so much last days
Try to play today but to tough and loose 190$ in last 700 hands .
I finish in green in all limits i played this month , but kill my yearly winrate by two durnig these 198564 hands.
The good thing is I learn so much on my game and my own limits.
I think i can play 6K per day and play not bad poker. Almost all bad days during this month was days over 8K+ hands and my best days all around 6-7k hands. I also play my best during 2H30-3hours session, more is ev-.
PV you can tranfer money.

Bye

I hope you're joking there. That's pretty standard and probably optimal most of the time if they are good post-flop.

If you've played w/Unguarded before I think it's easy to know if he's joking or not

I get one now and again, but I don't mind talking to the peeps. Nothing like you get no doubt, I am sure your inbox is littered with fanmail.

Thoughts on my play? I play Scorchostakes and below. My name is the same with 1337 appended. 2p2 Regs I've seen at my tables include -off the top of my head- Dave D, Abso (not lately - tyvm), and Scorcho.

More bad news on the PT3 v. HEM front: W$SD is 1 or 2 pips higher in PT3 than in HEM. I run like 41/54 in PT3, but only 41/52 in HEM over the same sample. I'll shoot you a PM with the HEM stats I have on you. It's only 4.8k hands, and you're running cold at a mere 2.2 BB/100, but it should give you an idea of the conversion.
