Picasso, do you really play 24 tables? I know you have lost quite a bit of money this year after rake, has that been made up for by SNE? Could you give us some insights into the sick sick mind of the SNE grinder? Charts and graphs would be a pretty please plus.
12-23-2009 , 01:08 AM
+1, and would you also let us know why in the world you'd do this instead of working on your game and making more money than a losing SNE player does?

Not trying to flame, legitimately curious.

Edit -- I mean, 24 tabling LHE just completely boggles my mind, you're not getting any better, ever stagnant, just clicking and clicking like a zombie. Sure 100k or whatever at the end of the year is a good salary, but ...

ok i can give u a short overview about my plans and how i became a sne chaser, if u guys dont want to knoe that, then plz dont read^^

Ok:
- started janaury 2008 with poker and 30$ at .05/.01 LH fr
- turned these 30$ into 17K until ende of december 08 and also became supernova within one year of starting in the absolute mciros.
- january and febraury 2009 i was bored of studying and wasnt sure if my study choose was the right, so i decidedto break up for 1.5 years to play poker what my dream was.
- cause i had no aim to reach i thought a while what to do.
- end of march i had the idea of grinding sne and started with the first sick grinds at april
- i was lazy during the year (lot of party, holidays and so on, normal stuff that evrybody does)
- so i was playing nearly breakeven with 10-12 tabling at 3/6 and 5/10
- at the beginning of september my VPP standing was 450K VPP
so i had the choose of stoping the crazy idea of grinding 550K VPP within 4 month at lowmiits or to go 4 it with playing a bunch of more tables, a weak nit style, that is easy to multitable and also to accapet sick loosings.
- septemebr i made 100K VPP and the same for october
- in november i made 130K VPP and that was the first month that i got really crushed at the lowlimits.
- at the beginning of december i had 212K VPP left and now im still on my chase.

its a challenge with myself, if i do this it was a hard fight with strong discipline and i would proud to reached an aim.

212K VPP within one month at 3/6 and 5/10 is pretty sick and not possible with 8 tabling, so over the last 3 weeks i had an idea:
I packed one table onto the other so i only look short at stats, just hae a small way for my mouse and can play more tables.
i play now until 24 tables at 6-max and hell yeah its no fun

i accept my loosings cause i know that my skill is much higher then i can show with 24-tabling.
and thats also the reason why my PTR graph is going so down, cause i played the last 4 month nearly 600K hands without tableselection, without concetration.

but i know its + EV.
from januarry i will go to 10/20 with max 6-tabling and if i fail there i can go back and grind to 1.5M VPP and get nearly 200K $ rakeback, so im on the safe side and 20K losses over the last 4 month is a fair price for a much higher value next year.

here my 15-24 tabling graph 3/6 and 5/10 this month

lucky me, i won this month +10K at 10/20+ so im only down like 2K $ this month what is much better then expected.

i have 75K VPP to go and i will make this chit for sure. if i would fail now this would be the most epic fail in my life^^

hope u liked the introdution into my life
your welcome

edit:
@drelo:
i know, if i could turn it back i would stop chasing sne but ther eis a time when u invested so much time for sne that you are comitted with it and stopping sne chase at 890K VPP or so would be just dumb and it was safe and easy money this year and i have the big advantage if i fail at midstacks next year i can go down and grind it out at the lowlimits for a good price.

Didn't realise you 24 tabled recently, you act really fast considering, I appreciate that. Most people who play so many tables slow down the hands/hour ridiculously.

this could be because i fold most of the time
and its the way of playing with tables one onto the other.
im faster with 20 tabling then with 12-tabling cascade/tile

24.07 hours for 12836 hands = 533 hands/hr:

* 10,310 hands at 2/4 @ 0.11 BB/100
* 2,526 hands at 1/2 @ 3.14 BB/100
december so far:

22.5k at 2/4, 3.50BB/100
7.5k at 1/2, 3.81BB/100

of course 3/6 is 15.6k at -0.97BB/100, but who's counting that?
I'm trying to do about 6k hands a day on avg, but this has been a really busy month. 28k VPP to go for 200k and nothing can stop me.

Umm, the best bear in the world is clearly the Grizzly bear and lives no where near Germany
12-23-2009 , 06:57 AM
He means best beer in the world, though it doesn't matter because neither the best beer nor the best bear is in Germania

Last edited by sledghammer; 12-23-2009 at 06:57 AM. Reason: best bear is debatable

Has anybody figured out what the new changes mean for average vpp/hand at the various limits? (mostly curious about 2/4-10/20)

Is 5.5 multiplier a good thing for us or not?

That has been there for a while. The changes were announced this morning, and I'm not sure if HEM knew in advance what the actual changes would be.

opinions about the new vip program?
I'm not good at counting the effect of the changes in the VPP earning system
The "stellar rewards" thing looks decent instead of the random reload bonuses (I assume it's instead of those although not stated)
SN is easier to retain which is nice
Milestones are better until 300k vpp, looks good to me
75k freerolls are gone, I'm not happy, I was planning to play those next year Quarterly 1mil is nice for sure but less opportunities to finish in the moniez+ probably larger field= I don't like
Silverstar easier to get - should make the fish grind somewhat more in theory?

I'm not sure, but isn't that stat calculating for 5.0VPPS/$?
Anyways the changes are pretty awesome for 5/10+, which I hope to play next year.
