did you have any reason not to raise the flop? I'd need a pretty good one on such a ragged board getting 5:1 on my bluff
03-26-2010 , 12:19 AM
abso, is that photoshopped or is that bug really givin props to the camera? lol

daiq, just relax and party on your vacation. No sense in letting a bad run rob you of a good time as well. Easier said than done i'm sure, but once you get over the initial gambling withdrawls you'll forget all about it (plenty of cafe time in amsterdam will help) When you return, recent results will be a thing of the past, and you'll be fresh and ready to return to grinding. 2 of them folded already, and you would have faced the guy behind you 2 cold on a raggedy ass paired board

Crosspost from the fantasy thread, kwealert, scorcho, donjuan, ixiterra and the rest of you's, how's this look?

14 team 29 man roster, 5x5 roto auction $260 budget. So this one was hella deep, every team seems to have huge holes. The positions are C, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, OF, OF, OF, OF, OF, Util, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL, DL, DL. Everyone was going ape****e on catchers and closers. I figured screw catchers and just got some cheap ones, also loaded up on cheap saves to maybe use as trade bait later on. Any thoughts on my draft?

Also, any serious degens out there, we should start thinking about a mid stakes dynasty league starting next year, somewhere around $500 a year.

it wasnt spectacular... such things happen with a poster... but the real question is whether im ever good on the river, and additionally whether i should even be at the river in this fashion

dead money is a beatch some times :P

I think that even if its the buton, the most likely blufer in this hand, when you check/call this flop, you are turning around your cards and buton still bet in to you the turn.

So imo you are geting valuetown prety hard i think on the rest of streets.

But thinking again, what do i know about 50/100 !?

PS: my english sucks

You seemed to be playing fine at the tables I was at. Btw, I was just messing with you in the chat if you thought I was serious. I haven't had chat in years.

A league where you keep ALL of your players year after year, forever. Of course you can add/drop players and make trades. I am guessing we would have a minor league, and available major league player draft early each year to fill out rosters. You like baseball wolfram? BOC do you think we could ever get it to go? It is a pretty huge commitment.
03-26-2010 , 11:10 AM
i'm clueless when it comes to baseball, so no thx
03-26-2010 , 11:20 AM
Nah that was cool - took it as such
That table was okish - still hardly great. But there were so many others that weren't. And you just can't do anything less than try for total 100% a-game in the rake trap that is 5/10. I can drop 200 bets in a day and still sleep fine if I it wasn't bad play. I dont mind losing to bad cards or crappy 2-outers so much. Just mindless robot button mashing spew tilt at 2am should not be happening. I took my eye off the ball and I I've got that hungover post bender feeling even though I didn't drink last night.
03-26-2010 , 11:26 AM
Ya, you definitely have to correct that pattern if you want to be successful at this game. Nobody plays every session perfectly, or at least, I don't know anybody that does. You have to move on from a badly played hand and refocus or be aware enough to take a break if it's bothering you.
