I think im moving to HUHU, cause it seems to be the only thing I can win at.

Probably true, but would also probably make it profitable for the opponent to take the legendary "float the turn on Ace high board and bluff-raise the river with any two" line. ;-)

I think you can counter that by calling some percentage of the time and folding the rest.

I think it's the other way around. Since it's a 7.75 BB pot, you want to use the alpha ratio in order to determine how many of your hands you fold to the raise: A very small %. However, since it's 2/4, you can deviate from the nash play and fold most of your hands in order to exploit the fact that your opponent doesn't bluff raise the river often enough.

It's my bad habit to go about explaining other people's points, but I think that by "in theory" Heisenberg didn't mean "game theory optimal" but that people know that it's probably the best exploitive response (hence, "in theory") but actually click the call button anyhow (hence, "in practice"). Just like in the statement: "in theory I know how to quit smoking but in practice I don't".

Agree with Jarnov.

I would love to get into pokerstars databases and query how often people fold top pair to a river raise. We would probably need to discount a few % to misclicks. And maybe not include super coordinated boards like 4-flushes or 4-straights

Obviously it's probabily not GTO to b/f, but IMO you are betting a very small % of your hands for value and this one is the worst ace you are value betting.

But the most important fact is no one besides insane ppl c/r bluff this river, because no one folds once they 3-barrel on a board like this. The 3rd barrel is extremly rarely a bluff, and when its not, its a hand they are betting for value so at least KQ+. The only way its a c/r bluff is profitable is if ppl fold Ax HU, and no one does this.

Hence why you have an easy fold.

finally stars didnt **** me up for 30 days in a row

07-06-2008 , 12:55 PM
ya pretty much noone bluffs there so i think its ok to fold the bottom of my range to a raise
07-06-2008 , 01:01 PM
July sucks so bad
the weather is beautiful outside and all i do is sit in front of my PC to grind VPPs and lose over 200BBs in about 10k hands that i played this month

Thanks Stars
07-06-2008 , 01:05 PM
ugh. glad this promotion is finally over, cause I'm mentally spent. I'm not sure how I feel about how I did. I played like **** but I cleared 90k+ VPP's and $12K+ so I'm not sure I have room to complain. Sort of like listening to someone whine about how their wallet is too small to hold all their $100 bills or how their 15 inch **** keeps falling out the bottom of their shorts.

cliff notes: ugghgh. played like ****, still won, really feel like I shoul dhave hit the promotion harder to make SNE this year

How big and how injured?

If something is broken kill it
If you think he just might have taken a hit or something put in in a shoe-box maybe with a small bowl of water. If it isnt up and about within a few hours, kill it
