at the poker table you hand the dealer your card and they sign you in and start logging time at the tables
For harrah's properties (Caesars, Osheas, Harrahs, etc.) you get $1 in comp value per hour played, to be used at any restaurant on their property.
The only exception is for Imperial Palace, you get $2 in value per hour.
I'm not sure what the comp rate is worth at the MGM Grand properties (or other casinos) for poker. Bottom line is that it should be the first thing you do when you play
