To save a couple pages of questions/answers:

Historically these refunds take more than overnight to complete, sometimes 2-3 days. Lots of people will complain and assume they got ripped off. Some network rep will explain the calculations/refunds are all done manually, and how they really wish it could be done automatically. There will be no transparency/list of payouts in the case of ICM calculations. And the network outage won't be their fault, it's their ISP.

Their downtime/refund policy gets a lot of unfair criticism; the policy itself is actually quite fair. It's the (slow) implementing of the policy without any communication with the players that pisses everyone off. It also doesn't help that the live support staff is generally clueless on this policy, and often just says things like "your buy-in will be refunded" when that isn't the case at all if registration is closed. That and the players just having to trust their admittedly manually calculated ICM payouts since there is no public disclosure of who gets what amount.

Support said players would be refunded "within the day" so we'll see if that hold true

What were the circumstances for which you were refunded? By 'circumstances' I mean, what state was the tournament, (or tournaments) you were in, and what was your chip count, etc.?

My tournament lobbies are all stuck from like 30 minutes ago. Is this the beginning of another "server" down?
10-23-2013 , 07:43 PM

yeah I got some kind of refund but it is not listed in my tournament history as a win but rather as a loss for all the tournaments I was in last night when it went down (I wish they would change that in our tournament history so we knew how much we were being refunded and for which tournaments we have been refunded for and which tournaments we still need to be refunded for) ...and the amount that was put into my account which could have only been for one buy-in but it was not for any of the amounts I had bought in for or chip-chop...etc

I can now add that I have been refunded for 2 of my tournaments...

Since it keeps happening at peak hours, can they be honest and not blame hackers or anything else, but the fact that their servers are subpar? This isn't a coincidence. Hey WPN, you'd actually save money in the long run by UPGRADING YOUR ****TY SERVERS.

Is this an everyday occurrence?
10-23-2013 , 09:05 PM
Yeah it sucks. They need to spend that Beast money and upgrade their old servers
