I was rooting hard for CLB (been one of the early followers of Bubba when he was still streaming daily). After that lost fight at Baron I was actually fearing for them to lose the game and the series.

Coast kept taking turret after turret and inhib after inhib.

Then I said to myself, "there's still a throw in Coast! There's still a throw in Coast".

30 seconds later... they threw.

Westrice is a huge liability, but he has his moments
Brokenshard is a really knowledgeable guy, but he's going to get absolutely massacred by the top tier of LCS junglers.

Westrice plays a very narrow champion pool very well. It's basically Lee/Akali/Riven. He's not a good tank player and never has been. He's basically a discount version of ZionSpartan.

As for the offseason I think Shipthur goes to CLG and Link goes top, because its not CLG if they aren't making a silly roleswap.

EG Zionspartan makes sense to me, but there a lot of teams that would like a player that draws a lot of attention.

dude is the top 2 support NA and prob top 3 NA/EU. who cares if he doesn't want to soloque? soloquing support is so lol. i was watching his stream. he really doesn't know how to soloque. dude is buying support items. clearing wards non stop and pinking things while getting blown up constantly cuz its soloque

he's right though, tsm has a fair amount more talent than c9 but went 1-6(maybe 2-5) vs them this split

As someone who probably watches his stream more than anyone here and also someone who probably has the most experience with solo queue support, I think you are pretty off base here.

He is certainly among the top supports across NA/EU (I personally consider him #1). He knows how to solo queue support better than anyone. Everyone has bad games. Every pro has bad games. He keeps his bad games to a minimum and makes game winning plays at a higher rate than likely any other support in NA. I'm not just talking about highlight plays (which he also does on a regular basis). I'm talking about the little things that win the lane and win the game. If you want to learn to play support at a high level, Xpecial is the guy that you want to watch and emulate.

Additionally, the three bolded statements are incredibly ignorant and display a general misunderstanding and lack of appreciation of the support role. You seem to imply that support is an inferior role and that you can't carry as a support in solo queue. I guarantee that supports can carry (and anyone from this forum that's played with me would likely support my claim). I can also guarantee that I can carry harder as a support than you can on any other role.

Saying he doesn't know how to solo queue is quite ridiculous. He has a 60% winrate with Thresh in Challenger level games over a 156 game sample. That's an absurd winrate.

You also imply that buying support items in solo queue indicates that he doesn't know how to support in solo queue??? I don't even know what to say to that.

Just because he is Top 3 NOW doesn`t mean he will be Top 3 in a month or even week. LoL is a game where you have to make splitseconddecisions, a lot of these decisions are based on prior experience. If you stop practicing you will lack this experience and longterm your winrate will suffer no matter who you are. I see it in poker, when I don`t play for a while and then come back to masstabling I make minor mistakes, but all these minor mistakes together cost me 2-3bb of my Winrate which is huge.
