I wonder if maybe after wrestlemania (since there were rumors with them being unhappy with cole) they may shake their announce teams up. I would love to see something like JR and heel Cole on color on one and like Josh Mathews, William Regal, and Booker T on Smackdown or something (if that would even work?)

Had to just say, loved Raw. Went on a tirade to my uncle (big fan) about how bad Raw had gotten, and then they pull this out of the bag. Raw and Smackdown are pretty Miz right now...sweet.

I like this idea a lot. I think the biggest piece of evidence that Vince was absent or decided to be quiet tonight was Cole. He is allegedly funneling Vince through the headset but there was none of that this episode. If Cole can behave and stay on topic like he did tonight he would actually be an asset to the show! (With a new face announcer obviously Lawler has to gtfo.)

Ya, Lawler just doesn't bring anything anymore. It's weird. Like in his heel days he would just be ridiculous in saying things heels did were fine and he was really good. It's like he just tried to do the same thing but with faces and it just doesn't work.

I also don't know the threads opinion, but I like Josh Mathews a good amount.

Josh Matthews is good.

I like Matthews as well. He actually knows the names of the moves as a bonus! A topic I used to tilt about a lot but just gave up on once it was clear JR was never coming back.

I loled during the Broadus match after his exploder when Cole said "what a throw" and Lawler didn't understand what Clay said.... he said "suplex" you ****ing idiot. edit: although i guess in fairness he did put some funk into how he said it

Im grunching for tonights episode, and someone prob already said this, but the thing i noticed most this episode was Cole giving props to how tough ryder was and not burying him. New leaf?

no. i want striker back.

Either a new leaf or Vince wasn't backstage or some combo of both. Will wait for WON podcast tomorrow and see if they know, but like EMc mentioned, West coast episode makes it more likely Vince stayed home and Cole didn't have to be McMahon's mouthpiece for a change. I guess Vince realizing it was time to knock it off is a possibility too but that seems remote.

+1 to all who said this raw was brilliant. i guess im not just contrarian to the iwc, i just like more stuff...

if they seriously do the 29 and 28 (orton/barrett?) guys eliminate each other, meaning the last person to come out wins the rr by default.... and then the last person is y2j

and he just comes out and celebrates

it would be the most amazing thing in wwe history

Just finished watching. Wow, after total crap last week, we get a really awesome Raw tonight. Next week has a good chance of being a letdown episode, but I'm very happy with this one

If the Y2J winning by default at 30 in the RR thing happens, do we let him talk after that? Or does he come out every week until WM doing the same thing with some points at the WM sign above the ring thrown in?

Also I hope next week Y2J's entrance video includes some clips of him jumping around on the ring apron looking for the hot tag.

No way they can let this keep going until WM.

I wouldn't be surprised to see/hear him say something next week to explain this week, to set up the RR and to lay the ground work for his possible match with Punk at WM.
