12 times a year suits me. Feels like they deliver on enough minor PPVs to justify the time investment even though there are some real clunkers too.

MITB is going head to head with the Game of Thrones finale. I really want to see the numbers for this.

Saves a lot of time/cringe

Forgot to mention the most important part. Since weekly TV is so predictable we can just comfortably FFwd until after the commercial break in every single match. It’s so funny every single match is the same. A choreographed spot where someone usually suicide dives out of the ring to set up Coles stupid commercial break teaser.

And since no match actually matters, there’s no reason to watch the first 5-10 mins of a storyless TV match. Half the time we won’t even watch the finish and just check in on the important thing (post match promo or beat down or whatever).

I feel like the most pro-WWE poster here, and I generally enjoy the shows (sometimes more for the criticism of it than what it actually is), and even I never watch them live. I'm surprised it took this long for their ratings to completely crater tbh. It's just not a must watch live product on the level of actual sports, no matter how much they try to make it that way.

The three-hour length of Raw is just such a killer.

It would take an unrealistic spike in quality to persuade me to want to sit and watch three hours from start to finish, and when I'm not going to watch the whole show I'm increasingly unlikely to bother to tune in at all. I would think this has to be a really common effect that significantly drives down viewership.

It also taxes creative in a way that surely makes the product worse than it otherwise may be, which in turn also drives down viewership. Coming up with ways to fill five hours per week of Raw and SD is really quite a task. While current creative does not accomplish that task well, it's understandable that they don't, especially given this asinine directive that promos all need to be scripted verbatim by the writers.

I know that the extra hour of advertising is profitable in a vacuum, but I'm far from convinced that the extra hour is actually worth the cost, even strictly from a long-term profit perspective.

Also, seriously, the thing where they literally did not even attempt to put on a good post-Mania Raw is incredible. Very difficult to get motivated to even try weekly TV again after they punted that show.

Get ready LKJ! Rumor has it that Vince wants to do an NFL style draft in September. Surely that'll be the spark the company needs to make it entertaining again.

SD! was so bad for me this past Tuesday that I turned it off while having it in the background on mute. I couldn't stomach seeing The ****ing B-Team come out to confront Roman and then seeing Elias be the special referee. I can't watch this guy overcome odds again. I just don't care about him.

Also, Bryan missing on SD! due to injury since Mania has been

This is what I was doing (I've said a few times), literally had both shows down to 10-30mins and that still doesn't feel worth it. I wish NXT didn't have so many none-shows as I'd just watch that. I've even thought about just watching 205 live but I've realised watching a tv show shouldn't be that much effort.

If we weren't in an age where I could have a game running on tv, Raw/SD on the ipad (or vice versa) and still be doing something else on the laptop at the same time, WWE would be the first thing to go. I actually kind of wish it weren't this way sometimes, so I could save the $9.99 per month.

Had been blissfully unaware of all the backstage changes recently. Just found out the AA was fired (apparently let Foxy perform drunk, not that she got in too much trouble for that) and the Do-doubleG left several weeks ago.

205 Live is actually pretty good most of the time.

I have heard it's the best weekly show by pretty far. That wasn't slagging it off

I still think NXT is the best. NXT UK is growing on me fast.

All three are substantially superior to the two live shows.

Nephew asked me to take him to Raw tonight, so I will be there. Odds of it not sucking?

Haven't kept up with the product in awhile and haven't watched anything live for months and even then it was just in passing. Hasn't been appointment watching since I was in high school over 15 years ago.

The odds are actually sorta good. Raw had its ratings nadir last week and WWE might be panicking. Teasing Roman Reigns back on Raw tonight and apparently they cancelled a SD house show for tonight so there could very well be some excitement with stars from both brands on Raw.

I wouldn't expect anything, but i'd be surprised if it was just a generic blah episode.

This was shocking to me (which might just make me a dumbass). I don't mean to make light of Roman's cancer, but it legitimately gave them a second chance at his face run. And what do they do? Literally the same thing that brought so much heat upon him the first time. Oh he's facing Elias at MITB, ok well let's put him in a handicap match where Elias is the referee...and have him OVERCOME IT. Ya real suspenseful build to MITB.

How can they be so dumb? It's a ****ing television show, tell a story. Roman losing there, looking weak, is a good thing! Have the B team hold their own (in turn, building the tag division a little more), have Elias take advantage of a weakened Roman and get the B-team the W by beating him down (Elias looks more evil, offers a glimmer of hope he might win at MITB). A hero's arc is very simple. Instead it's just hurrrr here's some guys who don't sell merch for Roman to beat up yay, how long do we have to wait until he can take the belt from Kofi again?

So ****ing stupid.

I think we can now pinpoint the date that Vince lost his mind on tv and RAW became an absolute joke.

This is the saddest thing I've ever seen for ratings...and it's still going, 23 minutes later.

Sami Zayn since return:
Night after WM returns and loses to ???

3 weeks of promos not interrupted.

A 4th promo's finally interrupted by Braun, a guy who has already destroyed Sami a year or two ago in multiple matches culminating in a match where Sami couldn't last 10 minutes vs. him. Sami runs away, Braun catches him, Braun puts him in a dumpster and kills him. I wonder why ratings tank. Have a chance to make a star. Make him a joke instead.
