I agree that not flipping him face right now is fine in theory but that assumes they organically and slowly turn him. In reality we know they will probably just abruptly flip him for no reason at all and at a time that is less reasonable than right now.

Agree with LKJ that his heel character doesn't quite fit but that's not unusual in a company that stuffs heels into either the cowardly heel bucket or 7 foot tall unstoppable monster (for 3 months until they are a comedy act) bucket. Rollins should generally be winning fairly convincingly and cleanly in the ring 70% of the time, cheating 20% of the time and getting his comeuppance 10%. And being very annoying/sore winnerish 100% of the time.

Yeah, I do agree that in his particular case, he was more an annoying heel that got over on his skill set (though his promo skills have improved), but I'm certainly in favor of them doing things more subtly with everyone to make it feel more realistic.

The only thing about Rollins that screams heel is his voice. His moveset is completely incompatible with the character they have him portray

Something I didn't see discussed here last night: why have the time share salesmen gone over on Enzo & Cass twice the last two weeks?

A month ago they were main eventing and Cass was in the match for the title.

The time share guys were squashed by the Duddleys on their way out.

The raw tag team division is historically bad. Literally the only heel team other than SS is the comedy club, so they are prob trying to make a new team relevant and build up the division somewhat.

Those guys have been jobbing out for so long that it only makes the other guys look worse. They should just bring up the Revival. Or even Ellering's new guys.

This

If Rollins doesn't cut promos he can be a face just fine but as is listening to his whiny nasaly voice could never get over as a face

Plus he's just terrible on the mic

According to meltzer it's the lowest rating since like 96 , which was on a night they were up against mlb playoffs, Monday night football, and of course another wrestling show lol

3 hours is just such a long slog. Ratings (and everything) would improve dropping to 2 hours, but I bet the extra ad time is worth enough to endure the bad ratings. So we're probably stuck with this for the foreseeable future.

I hold out basically no hope whatsoever that Raw will ever be less than three hours again. I cannot conjure up a realistic scenario where it is, and certainly not one where they do it in the name of bettering their product.

I hope they don't take these low ratings out on their current champion.

And, yeah, far beyond the problems with NFL competition and even ****ty storylines and ****ty commentary is the problem that there's just too goddamn much wrestling each week.

Recently there has been:
3 hour Raw on Monday
2 hour Smackdown on Tuesday
1 hour NXT on Wednesday
1 hour CWC on Wednesday

That's 7 hours of wrestling in 3 days. That's not even counting the fact that there are 3 hour PPVs every 3 weeks now.

And that's just WWE. God help you if you follow any other promotions closely.

Main Event and Superstars as well, for the truly insatiable.

Trading off NXT for LU is the pro move.

NXT's weekly show is legit unwatchable as a stand alone show.

Has anything of consequence ever happened on either of those shows?

There was apparently a great Wyatts-Shield match a few years ago, but I never saw it.

I fast forward through most of NXT these days. Only part that's of any interest is the tag division.

And of course, LU trumps all.

Shane books a three-way title match including Cena seemingly because of Cena in the Bank, and then smoothly transitions into a holonaminutplaya tag match between two members of Team Babyface that were squabbling and are set to face each other in an upcoming PPV match.

I don't know Halpert, you're having to look the other way on some bad **** to keep up the praise of SD booking. There's a heavy dose of Raw going on here.

Storylinewise? No. Stories aren't furthered at all. However, they do occasionally have 10+ minute matches that are pretty good.

Cena/Ambrose promo was on fire. Haven't seen Cena get that positive a reaction in a while.
