No doubt, but the other 3 should be pretty interesting, and there would be nothing wrong with swapping Colts in for Broncos really. Only results Id really be unhappy with is Ravens or Cowboys winning (sorry Jim)

Jim is just a bigamist who has adopted the Cowboys as a second team anyway, it doesn't rise to the level of having to apologize to him for rooting against Dallas.

That said, if the Seahawks somehow get bounced on Saturday, I'd certainly be rooting for Dallas over Green Bay. I'm all for the Romo redemption story if it doesn't knock my own team out. I actually have more fear of playing Dallas from a matchup standpoint than I have of playing Green Bay in the NFCCG.

I want Seahawks-Patriots as a Super Bowl myself. Think it's a tougher matchup than playing the Broncos again, but I don't really want Denver to be afforded the opportunity for revenge against us; I want them to have to live with 43-8 forever.

I'd be more supportive of Indianapolis if I didn't live here. I like Andrew Luck a lot, and have no real problem with any of their other players. Problem is that I obviously have a lot of Colt friends/co-workers/whoever, and I just cannot have them getting confused about which of us has the better team. As Daniel Plainview put it, "I have a competition in me. I want no one else to succeed. I hate most people."

One of the things I enjoy about sports is watching the guys who are truly the best of the best do their thing, so I would actually prefer Peyton or Rodgers getting another one. If Rodgers gets another now, hes on a pretty straight path to being called the GOAT.

Rooting for your team in the playoffs is not a luxury I am afforded in many sports

Not that I hate the guy by any means, but I just do not find Aaron Rodgers likable. I prefer Peyton by a lot, and also prefer Brady. I like watching Rodgers play and everything, but I don't have any desire to see him attain true GOAT status; I'd far prefer that Peyton still hold that after both are retired.

My worst fear (sports wise) will come true, the Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl. Everything is lining up perfectly for them. They'll beat the Packers by a slim margin and do the same in Seattle, then they'll face the Pats in the Super Bowl and I'll have to watch in horror as Jerry Jones hoists the Lombardi over his head while yelling, "How bout them Cowboys!" ****.

And I thought the New York Giants two upsets over New England were bad? Those will be nothing compared to this.

I don't know how having to go to Lambeau and Seattle is "lining up perfectly." That's about as bad of a pair of games as you can run into.

You're right, dumb choice of words/thought. But I still think they will win the Super Bowl. Tony Romo is better, Dez Bryant is a monster and they can really run the ball. The thing that gives me at least some hope that I might be wrong is their average defense. I hope Rogers can tear them apart.

Every year people pick random qbs to have suddenly gotten better. Perfect example was rivers at the start of this season. Football is a game of high variance, but Romo will likely throw 3 picks and dez will do his angry dez thing and none of us will have to pretend the cowboys are a real team for another 7 months

Again I wouldn't mind seeing Dallas win it all if my team can't, but I just think it's too tough of a road to survive. Maybe if Carolina pulls the shocker on Saturday then the road opens up to the big game if they can just pull the one big road upset, but meh.

Angry Dez makes me laugh. I'm surprised one of his teammates don't punch him out when he starts doing that on the bench.

Alright I'm pulling for Green Bay today out of respect for Dallas. GB has been mediocre at best on the road all year and IMO matches up pretty badly with Seattle. Dallas makes me a fair bit more nervous.

For the SB I want

Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch both have potential as heels in wrestling. Great interviews. I'm thankful.

Agree with this. With pressure calf injured Rodgers is in trouble and looks confused, and Sea very likely to get some.

1. By the letter of the law the ruling was correct (my immediate reaction was "uh oh, Calvin Johnson rule" while everyone else was celebrating), but man I wish we didn't have this constant need to fully define every single minor aspect of things like what constitutes a catch in sports. Baseball tried to do it early last season and ran into a lot of issues early and ended up having to change it. It ends up being much more technical instead of using common sense. Sure, I get the idea that "subjectivity is bad" but I think there are a lot of situations where it's ok to look at a play in context and make a ruling. I felt the same way with the Calvin Johnson play a few years ago too. With all that said, there were a ton of other issues in the game where Dallas threw away small portions of equity and in close games on the road as an underdog you just can't do that.

2. Went over to my parents' to watch the game like I do a decent amount of time when the Cowboys have a big game. Normally it's pretty relaxed and fun. Since it was the playoffs today though more people were over and some of them were just unbearable. Every single play there was an outburst about bull**** officiating, how there was a conspiracy against the Cowboys, how everytime a flag was thrown they were ****ING US, how every time a flag wasn't thrown IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IF DALLAS WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE, and it never, ever, ever stopped. From play one. And since it's not actually my place I'm not going to tell people to stfu and leave. The only reason I decided to stay was because watching the games with my dad has been a thing since I moved back here. It was ****ing miserable and it didn't get better when the play happened. "WHY ARE THEY REVIEWING IT LOL IDIOTS" "Uh oh, is that the Calvin Johnson play ... *proceed to explain the rule*" -> Get argued with when it's overturned as if I'm actually GENE and overturned it myself.

For the love of everything good and holy in this world, if you're one of those people that bitches about the refs every play, ****ing stop. You're embarrassing yourself and ruining the game for others. You're no better than the people at the movies that have to make terrible one liners after every line of dialog. And now I realize I'm officially an OLD I guess.

3. Game itself was really good. I honestly can't say for certain which team was the better team and that's pretty awesome considering going into the season the common prediction was 5 wins. Team is still pretty young and hopefully this can just be the start of something instead of a one shot type of deal. Was pretty awesome to get to experience a good year of football with my dad, as being long time Dolphins fans in Florida before moving back to Dallas we really didn't get much of that in the past 10-12 years. You definitely appreciate it a lot more in your mid twenties instead of early teens as well. Was nice when everyone else left and got to chat with him about the season as a whole and how much enjoyment we got out of them this year with all the good games and random talks about it. Can't complain about this year at all.

4. GB @ Seattle should be pretty good, but gotta go for GB. Find that team pretty damn likable and would like to see Rodgers get another ring. Hopefully he can heal up before next week some, as he didn't look himself in the first half at all.

I don't understand how Rodgers is allowed to be a sensitive diva and still have everyone like him. To me he's far and away the least likable personality of anyone who is even on the borderline of being a good NFL QB. None of that is to take anything away from how incredibly great he is at the position, but yeah.

The 60 minutes reveal that he was a POGger should have been the death of his popularity.

Yeah, for all of the griping about the officiating here this call seems to have been made correctly, and I think that much is fairly obvious. Still a truly brutal way for Dallas's season to end.

It was a bad beat the same way it's a bad beat when you get all-in preflop for your tournament life while a little bit behind, flop a dominant hand, and then your opponent goes runner-runner for the win. Which is to say that it really isn't a bad beat at all, but that it's a painful thing to endure regardless.

We all have to learn this lesson at least once in life. For big games, I not only screen hard for whose place I will go to, but I will grill the host on who will be there. If the guest list falls out of line at all, I will politely explain that I just can't handle that environment.

Unfortunately the one time I really had to learn this lesson the hard way was when the Seahawks were in SB XL back at the end of the 2005 season.

Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch are three of the most entertaining people in sports. Russell Wilson is a walking anti narrative (too small! Running QBs don't win!).

Dallas in game coaching was horrible as it generally has been for years.

I don't think the letter of the law provides an answer in the Dez case. It depends on whether Bryant was "going to the ground" and "in the act of catching a pass" (both taken from the rule book) and the NFL has defined a catch so vaguely that it is indeterminate. So the only right call was for the ruling on the field to stand whatever it was.

Combine this altogether and I will be rooting hard for the Seahawks.

Not a bad plan at all in the future. It'd never been an issue to that degree before, as they'd come over a few times before and while they were a bit like that it was much more isolated to specific moments. Oh well.

I'm glad to hear that someone outside of Seahawks fandom is aware that Michael Bennett is the most delightfully entertaining person in the history of the universe. I didn't realize that he got any national exposure outside of his level of play (which is really damn high). His brother Martellus is every bit as funny too.

Dude's Twitter name is mosesbread72.
Interviewer: "So what's with your Twitter name? Why mosesbread?"
Bennett: "I like Moses, and I like bread."

Interviewer: "You have kids?"
Bennett: "Yeah, three girls. 8, 5, and 1."
Interviewer: "Little girls are the best, aren't they?"
Bennett: "They are. Lots of tea parties, lots of princesses, lots of...sensitivity."
Interviewer: "So, you and your wife, are you all done with three?"
Bennett: "Nah I'm trying to have four every day."

I follow all of the Seattle radio hosts on Twitter, and if they advertise an interview with Michael Bennett then I listen to it at absolute first opportunity if I can't catch it live. Absolutely priority radio.
