I love Norm MacDonald.
This is one of the greatest philosophy quotes of all time.

Norm has to be one of the top dry comedians of all time right? Nobody quite has a delivery like him

I think Norm is the GOAT.

(I would have posted the B-O-R-E-D clip, but I figure everyone's seen that.)

I can't remember if the WWF had any food items when I was growing up (Attitude Era) aside from those 711 cups. But that was in 2002.
They had "Hulkaroni and Cheese" sometime in the 80s/90s. I remember reading a joke that Hogan was PO'd that Macho Man kept trying to put diced Slim Jim's in it.

I just got back from watching Exodus, the new Christian Bale/Ridley Scott movie that I hadn't heard of before today. Mind you, I didn't want to see it at all after seeing the Rotten Tomatoes rating and the IMDb rating, but I let myself get dragged along since the other option was to shun friends that I hadn't hung out with in too long, since they wanted to see it. I also let myself get dragged along because they said that the theater had power recliners for seating, which it does, and that part was awesome.

This movie was so incredibly bad. The guys who picked it and wanted to see it actually seemed to hate it more than I did. I just thought it was bad; they were going on about how it was maybe the worst movie they'd ever paid to see in the theater.

This has been a public service announcement to not make the mistake of seeing that movie. Given the circumstances I don't feel stupid for going along since it was at least a decent social outing, but the "movie quality" aspect of the evening was a huge bust.

Best set I've ever seen in my entire life was Norm bombing on purpose at the Bob Saget roast.

Carlin was obviously legend for good reason and has many, many hilarious sets, but Norm is just more my style comedically.

I would seriously far rather have a root canal than spend 4+ hours flying.

That said, I'll take flying over food poisoning.

4+ hours first-class? That probably can't be too bad (never flown 1st, and the 1 time I upgraded to 1st class, American Airlines canceled the flight, bumped me to Coach the next day and refused to provide a refund).

I just did LA a couple weeks ago, and Im doing Seattle in 3 weeks. It indeed sucks. The flight back from LA I had the entire row to myself, but they didnt provide a movie.

Flying first class is great, that's a whole different ballgame. Coach is definitely sub-root canal level though, and that's most of my flying.

If I can snag an exit row seat and I'm not flying overnight, it's usually not that bad. I always take enough videos and reading material that I can keep myself occupied, and my Bose headphones keep me from going nuts with all the noise.

I had a flight to London last year that met neither of those criteria, though, and was predictably horrific.

Flew home for Christmas, the longest flight being from Chicago to Seattle. Obviously got a recliner in front of me in coach. Then arrived at my destination and found that the airline had lost my luggage, so I was just stuck wearing the same clothes for like 60 hours straight while I waited for them to find it.

My more recent trip back to Indy wasn't as miserable as the trip west was.

Flying for more than 4-5 hours is brutal. Each hour beyond 5 is exponentially awful.

So apparently someone was shot to death in my building last night. That's comforting. When I complain about living in a bad area, I always felt like I was exaggerating a bit...but apparently not. Crazy.

I'll be moving when my lease is up (was already planning to, just more actively looking forward to it now).

I was just coming to complain about Facebook, but it seems minuscule now. Hope you're able to remain safe.

Ha, thanks, honestly complain away about trivialities (especially Facebook). I just found it creepy that it happened in my building. Yesterday morning I woke up to a late-night text from a friend asking if I was okay. It probably speaks to what I think of the area that I live in that I immediately guessed correctly that it meant that there had been a news story of a shooting somewhere around here. Wasn't until last night that I actually found that it happened within my building, when the landlord acknowledged it.

Not really worried about my own safety. I keep very much to myself around my own building.
