It is still not completely clear regarding what happened with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman last night on Raw.

We're told the goal of the build to the Roman Reigns vs. Lesnar WrestleMania match on April 8th is to get Reigns cheered to lead to his win. Lesnar is also still scheduled to return on the March 12th Raw in Detroit.

Neither Lesnar nor Heyman were in Anaheim last night, although they were advertised and a segment with both of them was written into the script of the show.

The most likely scenario is that somebody came up with an idea for what happened last night with enough time to tell Lesnar or Heyman not to come to the show because they wanted to sell the event as a shoot. Lesnar had come to Las Vegas the day before as the photograph going around of him with Dana White was taken on Sunday afternoon.

The idea for the build to the WrestleMania main event, which has been planned for roughly one year, and is essentially the culmination of what was supposed to happen in 2015, is to make the build come across as much like a shoot as possible and the segment did accomplish that goal.

Reigns cut a promo during the show saying he thought Lesnar would be there, but Lesnar was hiding behind his contract and didn't come, and then cut a promo about how everyone resents Lesnar's status of working when he wants in the cities he wants while they all work a full-time schedule. Reigns, who was booed heavily coming out, was cheered at the end of the segment. He tried to give the impression he was doing an unscripted promo and would get in trouble for it, but obviously that was not the case.

I love how they want Roman to get cheered but Brock's next appearance is in Detroit, where Brock's loved. Almost as bad as going to Minnesota last year in the RTWM.

Miz vs Strowman isn't happening. That card was written prior to last Monday's RAW. It looks like we're going to get the yearly IC title ladder cluster**** which Braun may or may not be apart of.

Half of those matches aren’t happening (thankfully).

Cena is the most interesting one since Taker isn’t wrestling and Mysterio got hurt. I doubt they just throw him in the Battle Royal, so I would have him call out Strowman and say “nobody else wants this match, but I’ll do whatever it takes to get on Wrestlemania”. That would be good for both guys IMO.

I think that a great angle would be to not have cena challenge taker, but the other way around, pullingout this redemption story by costing cena the title @ fastlane. Cena is the franchise of WWE, and Taker can make a case that he's beaten them all really except him.

I can’t remember the last time the IC title was defended at WM without it being a giant cluster**** with ladders and 20 wrestlers. Actually I’m pretty sure it was Big Show vs Cody Rhodes and there was crying involved.

I have a feeling this upcoming WM might be the worst in recent memory

I'm not really pumped on the card because the current state of WWE is lame to me (too many belts, my favorite guys keep getting injured, etc), but I took the day after WM off of work and I'm gonna drink a thousand beers and eat a hundred pizzas during the show, so I'm really looking forward to it.
