Maybe Reigns has no nipples. Then what?

Male nipples are useless anyway

He's Samoan, his nipples have to be huge.

He's The Rock's cousin, he has to have tits that haven't yet been surgically removed under the vest.

Smackdown: 1) Rollins + 2 midgets still can't beat anyone and 2) the Kane/DB feud rages on.

Also, I greatly enjoy having Wizard Wars right after Smackdown. It's fun.

This isn't really a surprise to me or probably anyone else, but confirmed by MetsFan now on reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCirc...wwe_fast_lane/

Quote:
I have been told and it has been 100% confirmed that Roman Reigns is indeed defeating Daniel Bryan at WWE Fast Lane.

I was also told the only reason this match was made was to quiet the "marks" for a few weeks while they try to get Roman over. Regardless of the reaction in the next few weeks, Roman is the man and will be headlining WrestleMania and defeating Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship.

I've also been told that despite his smaller size, Bryan is considered one of the more physical in ring workers in the WWE. Thus he has been picked to work with Roman to get him ready for the physicality that is Brock Lesnar. It is comparing Bryan to Curtis Axel. Bryan is the Curtis Axel to Roman's Rock.

The last reason I was given is that WWE knows full well that people are going to watch WrestleMania no matter what. I was told they could've put Doink vs. Brock Lesnar and the fans would be watching. At this point, WWE considers the WrestleMania name bigger than any of the superstars on the show.

so wwe's plan is to make their forcefed heir to the cena throne somehow get infinitely more x-pac heat than he already had

amazing

No idea if that is true but if it is, the saddest part is the end, as they already treat part of the year as the offseason, with Rumble-Mania being clearly not offseason.

I don't think many fans want Reigns to go away, they just don't want him at the top.

Also it's not Wrestlemania 31 it's Wrestlemania Play Symbol.

Something predictable the fans want to happen: "Too predictable, I'm changing it."

Something predictable Vince wants to happen: "Sometimes the best stories are the ones everyone sees coming."

And yet sites are saying this:

Quote:
Despite the match being heavily teased, plans for Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler match at WrestleMania 31 are not yet set in stone. There is still a possibility that the company may go with Bryan beating Roman Reigns at Fast Lane and going on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. The company is still reportedly leaning strongly to Reigns winning, but it isn’t a certain thing yet.

A source adds that Ziggler’s team up with Ryback for a tag team match on SmackDown tonight was done for a reason; there has been discussion among Creative to have Ziggler and Ryback stay as a team and work a tag match at WrestleMania. So while the Ziggler vs. Bryan match is still in the mix, it isn’t a 100% certainty yet.
I think it's clear that nothing is ever set in stone in the WWE and decisions are usually based on how Vince is feeling that day/week/month. Around this time last year, Batista and Orton were a lock to main event WM30.

My gut feeling is that it's like:
55% - Reigns wins, turns heel either at Fast Lane or the next night
40% - Reigns wins, remains babyface, match exists purely to spite people like the Philadelphia crowd
5% - Bryan wins

That 5% does feel a little high though.

For maximum ability to stretch this out, I fully expect a Reigns win due to Kanerference (or similar), and the optimal storyline move is to just leave the question of whether he wanted that to happen or not unanswered for as long as possible.

Although all of us agree that it makes sense, I really can't imagine WWE putting reigns over and turning him heel. If they are putting him over Lesnar it's because they want reigns to be the new face of the company. A heel turn doesn't align with that. It's not even like you can book a double turn that results with Lesnar being the face of the company because he's leaving.

The heel turn would be a way to eventually make him the widely-accepted face of the company. You can work with "the entire crowd boos this guy" a lot more easily than you can work with this mixed reaction that includes a substantial percentage of people reacting with "GTFO."

Turning him heel with a long-term plan (LOL) toward turning him face is the way to get him over as the top face if that's the goal. In terms of getting him over as the widely-accepted face of the company by the end of March, I'm pretty sure that's truly impossible. They need to reset their expectations and play the long game, because the situation is still salvageable.

You're right that it's easier to work with a guy getting booed but that's the route they typically take with midcard guys not the face main eventing wrestlemania.

Anyway...California is probably gonna cheer him right ?

Tough to tell when you consider that even casual crowds seem to want to get behind Lesnar. I would say yes if he was facing a guy who gets a purely heel reaction.

I do think that the Raw after Mania still has to be expected to be a hugely smarky crowd in keeping with recent years, regardless of being in CA. I have to think by now that there are a lot of the same people traveling around the country for that post-WM Raw each year.

Surely true. According to shoot interview after shoot interview Vince has been prone to changing things the day of the event for decades.
