Haha that jacket feud was the dumbest ****ing thing ever. Bret vs. Lafitte on that one PPV was pretty damn good though, so at least the payoff match delivered.
Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers were collectively known as the Fantastics and were a pretty over tag team in the 80s. They were great workers, even scoring a Wrestling Observer 5 star match against the Bushwackers (then called the Sheepherders, and much better workers than they showed in the WWF). The feuds and matches they had with the Midnight Express are worth reliving.
Buzz Sawyer was one of the best heels around in the early 80s but regressed as he aged. He was a shady, whacky character who died young. The Undertaker paid Sawyer to teach him how to wrestle, but Sawyer only gave him the first of what was supposed to be many lessons and then left town.
Satoshi Kojima is one of the top Japanese stars of the last 25 years. He is one of three men to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, Triple Crown Championship and NWA World Heavyweight Championship at the same time (the other two are on my roster also, coincidentally) and was the first man to hold the IWGP and All-Japan titles simultaneously.
Kyoko Inoue was one of the workrate superstars of Joshi's in ring glory years of the early to mid 90s.
Gene Anderson is the reason why Arn Anderson and Ole Anderson have the last name Anderson. He and Ole were so over that Ric Flair was billed as being related to them in order to get him over by association.
Yeah I thought about it, but I'm getting ready to leave work and suddenly realized I needed to throw two picks up. How I can reconcile that with the fact that I'm still writing this post from my desk...I'm not sure. Definitely the GOAT diva theme song though.
