I think that's what the report illustrates.

You gotta admit that the champion being 2-24 is pretty awesome.

thats to be expected from a heel champion though. they have the house shows, and the dark match main events after the tv shows, and most of the time, the matches would be "for the title". the champ is never gonna lose the title, and they wanna send the fans home happy, so what happens. champ uses a chair or something and loses by dq. then the challenger (insert SUPER CENA joke here) comes back, stfu on the champ, and everyone is happy.

House shows are wrestling. If Vince had no television, no ppv, no merchandise and no web presence, he would still be the biggest wrestling promoter in the country.

The reason wrestling works the way it does is because you can get thousands of people to pay bunches of dollars to attend live events. Even getting a thousand people to pay $20 you've got $20k in the till and can afford to pay big appearance fees to top talent.

I don't have recent numbers on TNA PPV buyrates, but WWE can get to that number during a weekend of house shows. Working for WWE is rough because Vince promotes wrestling all over the country, it isn't just working on a TV show unless you are hbk or taker.

Actually I read the opposite: he showed up thinking he was booked and wasn't. Well, I guess not technically opposite, he surely could have still been high.

hell, I haven't even gotten high yet tonight and I can't tell exactly what happened. best I can tell he showed up at the airport and was told his flight wasn't until the next day so yeah, he was prepared to be there and wasn't needed.

Ha I meant the results of house show matches were meaningless, not the concept of house shows itself. Obviously they're very important money-wise, and if there were none, there'd be no WWE.

yeah I didn't mean to unload all that on your post

and yet TNA is just fine with running shows in the same 1,400-seat arena once every couple of weeks

why are dibiase and rhodes being promoted as half a wrestler?

Funny that Taz agreed that the referee had no choice but to stop the match after AJ went through the ring when Taz himself finished a match after going through the ring in ECW in 1998.

Foley v. Jarrett with BMI as special guest refs, who wants to be that BMI eventually beats both of them down, Bischoff comes out, and makes both of them his bitch or fires them both?
