Why is no one talking about the fact that we have a new Intercontinental champion?! Such a huge moment in The Miz's career!

Also for the record, Orton/Taker should have either been a hard cut or on the list and I ****ed up on that one.

I'm sort of left wishing they'd had D-Bry pull off that pin of Ziggler in 18 seconds yesterday.

With that said, if they had long-term plans behind doubling down on Kane and Bryan as teammates then what they did was fine, especially since the match was good and didn't need to be shortened.

Vince McMahon, the writers and producers are in the process of redoing the show, evidently believing the angle has been nixed. Nobody knows any details as to what happened past that. As of this time, the belief is that Rock is not appearing.

Just watched WM and as expected, it was terrible. I was hoping they would surprise me in one of the main events but nope, they were all predictable and boring. Punk/Taker was good but not great. Going to watch Raw now but I'm guessing it's just going to be 3 hours of the champ is here.

Yeah, poor Fandango. Last night was probably the worst night in his career.

Not read the whole thread but do people actually think this?

Jericho/Fandango was the one match that made no sense to me.

They had a new guy make his debut at WM and then they had Jericho basically squash him for almost the whole match and win of an injury.

Who did that match help? Fandango does not look good despite being given the win.

Check out last night's Raw for a sense of how mega-over Fandango has become in the last 36 hours.

Maybe. Zack Ryder was that "over" too but there is a difference between people popping for your intro and actually caring about you 6 months down the road. I think this was different (and Vince loves him and him saying his name while dead was R O F L) but I just wanted to throw that out there.

I agree that Mania didn't really make Fandango look that good. He got dominated the whole time and the finish was kind of a "slipped on a banana peel" deal from Jericho.

Not hating on Fandango FWIW... I liked him as Johnny Curtis and hope he gets legit over.

You are intentionally ignoring my point even though you can see what it was and I should have said "very over" instead. zzzzzzz.

So.... was the crowd 100% cheering Johnny Curtis because they want to see him wrestle again and again or were they 100% going crazy because of the absuridty of the whole gimmick/song/night/thing? 80/20? 50/50? I am not sure but it isn't 100/0 in favor of "wow this guy is the next SCSA" just like it wasn't when Ryder getting big pops and chants.

All that being said Vince apparently LOVES Fandango and I like that he is growing into the gimmick with little dance flourishes and selling.

Well, the WWE manage to luckbox a big score with the buyrates last year. May not be the same story this year.

Quote:
While the official number will not be available for a month or so, early word on the WrestleMania 29 buyrate is that the initial estimates are not good. According to a source, one number being floated around was said to be "downright shocking." WWE lowered their own internal projections (1.3 million) the week of the show, due to the Elimination Chamber buys coming in lower than expected.

hopefully the takeaway is that this ridiculous model of their cena caricature wrestling guest stars has zero sustainability and they'll start over again both based on the buyrates of their marquee show and the visceral hatred of the current product fans showed at the next raw

lol ya right tho

also people stop wanting to watch when your storylines go nowhere and the wrestling does nothing to further the characters the feuds or the non-existent storylines.

something as easy as making the US and IC title holders be automatically qualified for the Money In The Bank match makes the belts have value... gives the matches meaning and a reason for people to care.

that is the idea i would pitch to Stephanie if i won that charity auction thing. she would probably **** all over it though because i didn't have a social media write-in participant for the same MITB match.
