I don't see her as "fodder" - quite nice that this tournament can and will build out feuds that are separate to the title winner itself. I have no doubt that Deeb will be a title holder of one of these at some point down the line.

Thought that main event was great. I've been watching BTE for the last few weeks, so the added layer of Jonny and Adam Cole was hilarious. Kenny almost tagging Adam Cole then switching to one of the Jackson's. Then when he does tag him in for the double team, Cole sends him to attack the Dark Order in their corner, only for Kenny to realise there's no one there. Turns around and Young Bucks are building to the cheek kissing spot with Cole. Can't wait to see how they end up with Omega ousted from the group in favour of Cole with all these little teases. And then the surprise at the end.

So this advanced two storylines. It's advanced the world title storyline in telling the story that Hangman (with DO) are different this time, than they were last time these two teams faced off when Dark Order w/ Hangman lost v the Elite and lost Hangman's title shot with it. It also dropped little hints for the direction I think they're going to go after Full Gear, assuming Hangman wins, which I think he does. As well as all that, it was really effing fun!

Yeah this is great. Unfortunately, many US viewers missed this moment as most of it was in PiP for a commercial break. But still, it's great to see the layers they build even in a "comedy match."

The only good use of the PiP during commercials is when Sammy Guevara does the messages on the cue cards. It's too hard to follow the match when it's in a tiny screen with no sound. I DVR the show and skip the PiP parts of the matches. Except for that one time (that they acknowledged as a mistake) the matches are scripted so that nothing important happens during the break.

Cody should go heel even though he doesn't want to. I don't think he's doing some subtle, 3d chess character work here. He legit wants to be a babyface. He's teaming up with Pac against two heel characters so he's still trying to be a babyface. But that promo didn't help his case. It wasn't as bad as his cringy "my sperm ended racism" promo from before the Agogo match at least.

Lol, what? How could you see that Cody promo as anything but self aware?

I was concerned before when it seemed like they were stretching out the turn for no reason, but this shows quite clearly that they've got their finger on the pulse. It's a non-turn turn. The best villains believe that they're the hero.

That's the point. By not wanting to go heel, he does in fact go heel. We hate Cody for loving himself and wanting to be a "classic" face. Andrade spelled the whole thing out.

Anyone been to a Rampage or Dynamite event. Are they worth going to?

I’ve been to a few Dynamites in my city and a bunch of the PPVs when they were in Jacksonville.

The venues are usually smaller, so you’re able to see everything without needing to have great seats. They were also filming at least 2 hours of Dark matches, so even if your favorite wrestler wasn’t on Dynamite/Rampage, there was a good chance they’d be on Dark.

I haven’t been since they changed the taping model with Dark in Orlando(?), but I would definitely recommend it. The crowds are really into the show and it’s a fun experience for sure.

Have a good friend in Miami, who went to the Fri/Sat ones the other week and she had an amazing time.

Danielson is simply a machine. Dude is putting on bangers every single week.

Dante Martin continues to impress me.

Abadon/Baker match was so much fun. Some wild unplanned bits, like Abadon's hand bleeding and the table stubbornly refusing to break. Thumbtacks were great.

I love how Jamie Hayter refuses to do the "DMD," can't wait for her to turn on Britt. Abadon is cool as hell. That Lockjaw counter was sick.

First two matches were great.

Can't say I liked Abadon/Baker at all. Some of those no selling spots were dangerously close to Fiend/Rollins HIAC level.

Moxley apparently checking into inpatient rehab over an alcohol issue. All the best to him, and honestly kudos to him for being public about it since it seems like the type of thing that could encourage others needing to take similar steps.

I really wish they would get away from this business where they have their world champion curtain-jerk basically ever.

Also Kenny just did the wide-eyed reaction to a kickout. The phrase "you're better than that" was invented specifically to address that moment.
