They're already pretty close to profitable I think, if not already profitable. The TNT/TBS deal was massive. Maybe after this latest string of signings, they're back in the red, but I don't think they're close to bleeding cash or anything.

It's nice to see posts here again tbh. I thought with the new forum changes that this might get axed because it's been so dead

Khan has said recently that they're not too close to even but this is from new signings and the upcoming video game that was "8 figures".

In fairness to this, the plan was for Hangman Adam Page to main event this with Kenny I believe, but he asked for time off due to the birth of his first child. That meant that they went with Christian, who was the number one ranked men's singles guy at that time. When the match was announced, I think most people thought it was a swerve, because everyone wanted Hangman, but they ended up building to and providing a decent enough match, considering everyone knew Christian had zero chance of winning.

The rankings do hamper them sometimes with things like this, but it does mean you won't have someone like Punk just come along and go right to the top. He's going to have some feuds before he gets into the title picture.

Yeah, basically the only thing holding them back from profitable at the moment is the MASSIVE investment they've made into their gaming division. Khan isn't an idiot, though, and knows this will pay off years down the road. All development is in-house and they're building the studio from the ground up (with a bunch of amazing talent from the golden eras of wrestling games). Once that video game train is rolling, it is going to PRINT money and they'll be making way more per copy than WWE does with their shitty 2k games.

They're showcasing a bit of the new engine tonight, I am very excited for the AEW game. Market has been hurting for a competent wrestling game for ages.

+1. Definitely no need to apologize for posting a lot, you're nowhere near the line of it being an issue.

Bill Apter once went around to a bunch of wrestlers to interview them after Randy Savage's death. The one question he kept asking all of them was, "If they made a book about Randy Savage's life, what should it be called?" Which led to a variety of awkward answers. But the thing that always stood out to me the most was that Sean Waltman first reacted, seemingly earnestly, with, "Wow. That is a really good question." No Sean, it was not a good question. Why the **** is he asking everyone that?

Anyway, I guess I didn't realize PWI still existed.

I realize that this does not concern the chanting fans in the slightest, but there's little sign that Dustin has still got it. Hope his organs are okay though.

Thought he was good in the match. Unfortunate on that kick since Dustin's so tall. Think the match should've been ~5 minutes though.

After beer guy grabbing his wrist, Punk decides he's done with the stage dives for a bit. Lol

Definitely. I understand that Malakai can't steamroll through everyone, but yeah.

Yeah, I remember him back in 1990 or 1991 showing up on Superstars and having a match with Ted DiBiase where the whole wincon was to last five minutes. He's been at it for a bit.

Aunt Linda is the best. That DSOTR bit where Pillman Jr. found a spider in the bathroom was hilarious.

I just wonder how Punk feels about being given a chant that is usually reserved as a pity chant toward wrestlers who no longer have anything in the tank.

Well that was pretty ham-fisted.

Yeah, I wouldn't ever want that **** chanted at me. Not that I've ever had "it" to begin with.

Road Dogg came into the Royal Rumble and threw like three slow-motion right hands. Then that chant came in. It's essentially just a chant to acknowledge that the person is (1) old; and (2) currently in the ring.
