Usual creek's gone so will catch tomorrow. Maybe something will be worthwhile to watch.

I gather that it's mostly worth forgetting. Certainly seems to be a fairly distant B-show. That said, I'll be in next week for Punk if nothing else.

for me, rampage has been quite good most weeks. there is some story, and the matches are snappier. there is less filler. also its sorta a change of pace?

they took mark henry off announce finally. he was not good on the mic. (again, nothing against the guy, he threw down one of my fave promos of all time [retirement/fake tears])

i love it when the insults are harsh and seem real. youre right on here, and i think someone else threw one down too, but im forgetting.

can anyone explain to me why the bunny thinks she can steal aj lee's entire schtick? tilting head, skipping, and more i mean wtf. i dont understand why i cant find anything on the internet talking about this.

Finally caught up on this week, both shows were great. Ruby/Baker face-off was wicked!

Owen Hart stuff is very cool. Glad that Martha and the kids can continue to honor his wrestling legacy without associating with Vince.

“The Owen” seems like it will be a great Clash-type accolade to fight for. And now he’s gonna be in the game too! The roster is gonna be stackedddd.

Dunno about you all, but I'm pretty damn excited about Dynamite tonight. I've got the tinglies, this **** is keeping me alive.

Well I'm less excited than "got the tinglies, this **** is keeping me alive," but this is the first time I can remember actively looking forward to an AEW show during the work day.

Also very excited. I woke yesterday thinking it was Wednesday and was extremely disappointed.

Let's get a few predictions for the two less predictable matches:
Kenny vs. Bryan
Cody vs. Black

I'm going with ****ery for a no contest or time limit/tv time remaining draw for Kenny/Bryan

And I just refuse to believe Black's going to lose now even if it's a rematch so hoping to see Black kick Cody's damn head off.

Definitely foresee a banger of a match with Danielson/Omega. But yeah, some kind of ****ery could likely keep this from being a clean result. I guess if the belt isn't on the line, Kenny could get pinned and we'll finish with a BTE beatdown on Brian after the bell. We're starting to see Omega's sanity spiral lately, lots of visual cues with his attire/hair so another loss could be in line with that. I do think Cole and the Bucks will eventually oust Kenny from the Elite once he finally drops the belt to Hangman. Cole literally said "I trust Kenny with my life," which obviously means betrayal is on the board.

Cody/Black is interesting because Cody's had some more time away than was originally planned (his wife, Brandi, has been dealing with some severe postpartum depression issues). I could see Cody winning this one, even though Black is the unstoppable force. I think he will rally hard and get the crowd behind him, only to meet a snap-sudden death kick from Malakai. The crowd really loves both of these guys, should be a fun watch.

I'd sooner see a no contest than see Omega get pinned. I can't think of any scenarios where I really think it's a good idea to have the champion get pinned in a non-title match. It always just seems like lazy booking to me, like they didn't have a better idea to legitimize someone as a contender, so they go with that.

Specific to this situation, I also don't think Omega going over is a good idea. It's an exciting match to have on the card, but the booking options aren't great, so I'm hoping it's a well-executed draw of some sort.

That's a really good point. Given how protected they've made the title (and who holds it), pinning the champ in a non-title bout doesn't really seem to be AEW's style.

But as you point out, it's also Danielson's FIRST match so yeah the booking options aren't great. It's pretty crazy that we're already getting Omega vs Danielson, you'd think they've got something good planned. One would hope they've deliberated over this more than schmucks like us.

As my buddy put it, "Omega Danielson already? No foreplay just **** me."

Yeah, I think this is a booking side effect of having Punk and Danielson debut within a month of each other. Both deserve the moon-push, but it's not great to just set them on parallel pushes with no significant difference in the booking they both get. Accordingly, I think it's reasonable to hotshot one of them, even in a company that purports to attribute significant value to wins and losses. Still, the hotshot puts them in a tricky spot here.

In kayfabe, the match is only happening because Danielson baited Omega and Omega agreed to it. Tonight, I think you put Danielson in a position where he looks like he would have won, but instead gets screwed. (Preferably something more clever than mass run-ins during the Lebell Lock.) After Omega luckily escapes without having actually lost, he can wake up and refuse to give Danielson another match, forcing Danielson to climb back up the ladder with wins in order to get a proper shot at Kenny again.

That works for me! I vote LKJ for booker.

Of course, “waking up and refusing to give Danielson another match” should be in the form of Omega trolling Danielson relentlessly about his failure to win their first meeting.

I’ve made it clear I’m not an Adam Cole guy, but I’m still in for Danielson-Cole as part of Danielson’s rise back up after a draw tonight.
