Honestly one of my fave matches I've seen in the past year. I was gonna skip it too b/c I thought it'd be dumb.

At one point, they brought out a ladder, but I don't think they ever got around to using. At least not in terms of climbing up it, I think they might have landed on it once or twice.

Did Bunny **** up her blade job? She was gushing, but it looked badass, esp. with her character.

I was at the show tonight. Great card, was super pumped and left satisfied. One of the coolest things about AEW is that there was 3 title matches on free tv and you literally could have seen either side win in every match. That just doesn't happen in WWE.

Really good match, crowd was hot. They kind of gave away it not going the full 60 minutes though with how much else was advertised for the show.

Crowd was ice cold for this segment. Jericho trying to goat the crowd into silly chants was very WWE.

I didn't notice it live either. I was too busy being like 'holy ****' at the table spot and the match ended soon after, had no idea anything happened until Tony Khan came out (in between end of Dynamite and start of Rampage taping) and made note of Rey's injury and prayed for his well being. Then looked up video of it....Brutal.

Ended up staying for half of Rampage. 4 match card. I'll put in spoilers the first two.

Spoiler:
Adam Cole (alone) defeated someone named Tony Atlas

Spoiler:
HOOK squashed someone named Aaron Solo, apparently part of The Factory. Crowd obv popped huge for HOOK

Left before the final 2 matches, which were:

DMD and Hayter v Riho and Soho
Santana/Ortiz/Kingston v 2Point0 and Daniel Garcia

Eeee, I dunno. You almost hope for a clean break in this scenario. Dislocated could mean serious tendon/ligament issues.

Noone even mentioned Jade, which seems fitting. She was terrible and the match was a botchfest. Can't believe they didn't put the title on someone that can wrestle.

Speaking of ice cold segments, Black switching places with Lucha Bros when the lights went out kinda felt like it sucked the air out of the arena. I thought that's exactly what they were doing and they did it but what reaction did they expect for something so stupid?

I only caught the last minute and like 3 moves and Jade botched all of them. She's not only terrible, she somehow doesn't have a natural or befitting walk for her stature. She always looks awkward.

Jade has had under 30 matches and looks like a star. I think her first ever match was the one where she teamed with Shaq.

She'll figure it out in the ring soon enough, probably could have been built with a Goldberg-like run of all squash matches but having 2 women's titles complicates that since you don't want to kill the future contenders to Britt along the way as well. A future program with Serena Deeb could help as she's the best women's wrestler on the roster.

The best thing about AEW is the roster depth. There's rarely weekly rematches and they just had a big night with the TBS debut where top guys like Cody, Darby, Sting, and the Bucks were nowhere to be found, not to mention Kenny and Mox being away for an extended period. If WWE loses any big names for longer than a week or two they are having to call in Brock, Taker, HBK, HHH, etc to try to stay above water.

I don't dislike Jade, I just think she's too green for the current push. Her having "the look" is undeniable. I can understand Khan taking the leap of faith with her as the inaugural champ.

I wanted Statlander to win the tournament, so I wasn't really rooting for Ruby during the title match. Ruby could honestly use some in-ring work as well. Luckily, both ladies have some amazing talent to learn from in the AEW locker room.

She has a great look, I just would've waited a year or 2 to put the belt on her. I don't even think Deeb can get a good match out of her, but we'll see. Even the Thunder Rosa matches were underwhelming.

Battle of the Belts was pretty underwhelming. Cool table spot w/Dustin and Sammy tho.

Yeah, if they called it anything else I would have been whelmed. It was basically another hour of Rampage. Which isn’t bad, I did enjoy the hour. But, it definitely didn’t live up to the moniker.

So why exactly was an episode of Dynamite taking place in Cleveland, Ohio in the middle of winter dubbed 'Beach Break'.

Am I the only one who was bothered by that?

It was leaned into pretty hard. They had people on the beach in winter coats. Seems they definitely realized the ridiculousness.

It's also Wardlow's hometown, shrug.
