Will the Omaha game go off tonight, what time, and what limits?

Unfortunately I doubt any omaha game will go off tonight. Four of the regulars that I know of are not going to be able to make it tonight. Without the usual group, sure floor will not call it unless there is some odd interest getting list to ten. I am pretty sure it will not open tonight though.

Thanks for the heads up! I usually play twice a month with you guys. I was there the very first time the stud hi/lo game went. What other days does Omaha go off and where's the next best game? I'm looking for PLO also. Is there a game at Parx? Thanks!

Hey Rich,

Parx has a pretty consistent 6/12 OE game with a half-kill (for O8 only) just about everyday (you can check their live game report right on the website). They also had a 1-3 PLO going the other day, and I think they have that one going fairly regularly as well.

First time poster. Making my trip to Sands today (Saturday) around 1 pm. Normally an AC guy but Sands is closer so i want to give it a shot Any chance Omaha will run? Or 5-10 / 6-12 LHe?

Was there today, playing 1/2 crushing the table with a lot of run-good for 4bi's. Was really waiting for an excuse to be able to leave cause I needed to get to work, till I lost 1 bi on a flopped AKQ (I was holding J10) and she river a Royal! GG me, c u later!

Omaha goes occasionally around 7pm. Doubtful it will go before that. PASandsman feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Very doubtful a 5-10/6-12 will go...

Thanks for the reply. I noticed pasandsman is the resident Omaha fiend. Hopefully I'll get a chance to sit down with you guys. Not sure I feel like spending the day at 1/2

Surprisingly O8 went off right at 7 and lasted fairly strong until 2AM. Did not think it would go because there was only 1 table left and 4 of the regs were not there. My hat off to the floor at Sands. They are great guys holding the last table for the 08 players knowing they could of easily made it another 1/2 NLHE with a waitlist. They really take care of their regular players at the Sands and that means a lot. Game was pretty good, locked in a profit of about 450. Funny that as soon as they saw me walk in, they said they were gonna call it and two minutes later we were sitting at table. Just a sidenote, spoke to the poker room manager early today and he told me they are approved for mixed games now. They can not spread razz anywhere in PA, but they can have a HOE, HOSE, or 08/E. I tried to get it going tonight, but not everyone at table was interested so I let it go. I would love to play some higher limit HOSE. Funny that I somehow got the title of the O8 captain both on here and at the casino. Anyhow, thank you to floor at Sands, keep up the good work and thank you for listening to your players and what they would like to see.

2/5 is 30 long
5/5 is 10 long
5/10 is open seating

Thanks for the list update last night Alex. Decided to stay home once I saw how crazy it was. Do not think I saw it that busy there with waitlist since the Christmas Holiday and New Year's weekends. I was there last Saturday night and I think the 1/2 waitlist was something like 26 deep. If it was at 90 last night, that is incredible, reminds me of the early weekends when they first opened once it was like 136 in line. Heading over today to see what is happening. Thanks again.

The heat had a lot to do with why Sands was so packed. I got there at 1:30pm and could only find parking on level 5 far from the doors. Usually I have no problem getting a good spot on level 3 around that time on a Saturday.

Wanted to mention, I left around 10:30 pm Saturday night heading east on 78 and hit that horrible traffic from the lane closures. It does open up in a few miles, but takes a long time getting through it, but just to get out of it I got off at the exist for Bloomsbury and took 173 East for the 3.5 miles and then back on to 78 East. I'm not sure where the traffic gets better on 78 East, that exit I took is exactly where it goes from 2 lanes to 1 though, it might have cut off a little time, and at least I was driving.

Does someone know what the most recent news is concerning expanding the size of the room and possibly adding tournaments? I have read conflicting statements ITT and elsewhere.

I asked the floor last night. They said they are going to expand the room when they can add tournaments, sept time frame.

Does anyone know how long the construction will last on 78? I'm not insterested in added 20 min to the ride home.

Very busy there last night. I waited almost 2 hours to get a table at 1/2, I arrived at 6 pm. Players were very generous. I was up 2 BI's (600) in less than 2 -1/2 hours.

I will lay two to one they will not have MTTs at the Sands during anytime of September. I have been asking them since March when tournys are coming and it is always answered with the following month. With their huge draw for cash games, they have no motive to want to add tournys. The dealers are in no rush for it either that I spoke to about it. On a side note, there are 5 on the O8 list. We need 3 more takers and we should get it open which would be a pleasant surprise for a Sunday night.

Any chance that the Sands will spread a 10-20 or 15-30 Limit HE game, especially on the weekends. 3-6 LHE is a waste of time...if you build it they will come.

Construction on 78 will be going on for a while yet (2-3 more months). Also, got into a discussion about tourneys yesterday with one of the better dealers. He confirmed they are trying to get it in place by September. Floor guy was also around and confirmed it as well, saying they know there is a huge interest in it and are working thru all the details to get it set up. Biggest issue right now seems to be expanding the floor area - however, they will continue to keep the open feeling. No desire to have a seperate "room".
