Tommy
Congrats to "V" for spreading and promoting this game.
Have really enjoyed it the last couple of trips and will be looking for it late June/early July.

Maybe ashiXIII was thinking of DSE's during winter, spring or fall, but the summer ones are always packed. Also AshiXIII, while they don't have enough tables to seat 1000 at once, that hasn't stopped them from having events with >1000 entrants. It is this fabulous concept they, along with other big tourney series', use that is called alternates. Instead of turning away extra rake and not letting people play when the tables are filled to the max, they allow people to enter once people start busting. Tough concept to grasp, I know , but maybe one day you'll understand how it works.
way to attack my post and me after more than a month has passed; fwiw, I thought he was referring to the DSE that was running when he asked, not the one that was still several months away. Yes, obviously the ones during the summer are much larger.

You plan on coming for a week and a half and only plan on playing 1 event but want the poker rate for your entire stay? Technically you are suppose to play an event a day to get the rate. We understand that people make Day 2's and also that people may need a day off here and there which is why we provide the Group Code so that players may get the rate for their entire stay. When players abuse the system, it could affect how things are done in the future.

Tommy
Where do I enter this code?

When you call suite reservations, you will give the code to the agent you speak too.

It will be interesting to see how that goes.

So does this mean the 8/16 game is going to become 10/20?

I hope not, I like the lime green chip games, but it would be silly to run 8/16 and 10/20 as they are pretty close.

A poker room that is changing its limits every 6 months is not one that is doing everything right.

Will there be a reduced rake with 10-20 and will 20-40 be a time game? Any chance the 10-20 will be played with green chips?

I had the same question. Personally, if they get rid of the 8/16, I'd rather see the Venetian run 10/20 anyway, but that's just my opinion.

Will the 20/40 be played with $5 and $10 blinds?

And the 10/20 with $2 and $4 blinds?

I take it that this change is because the nitty regs who pushed for the tiny little rock blinds in the 15-30 did not play it enough to make a success of it?

Maybe because the fish hated it and didn't play it either?

There will not be a reduced rake, only $ 2 per hour in comps. This game will use red chips.

Not sure the reasoning with going head to head with Bellagio by spreading the exact same limits. Is anyone really going to play here knowing the game will break once 2 people win $300 and leave, and then you'll have to go to Bellagio anyways???

Is 20-40 a time or rake game?

The dealer toke for extra chips, $10 or whatever, is the same for event event regardless of buyin?

Also, do you pay this when you are registering or how exactly do you get those extra chips? I cant imagine anyone not buying them, lol.

The $10 staff bonus is the same for every event. It is done when you register and the chips will be given to you when you sit down at the table to play.

I was just wondering if the V runs nightly tournaments during the Deepstack, and if it's any different then the one they usually run at 7o'clock. I really looked for this info, but failed, including the V website. Thanks in advance.
