Pretty sure Thursday is the only night it normally runs. But of course if you can round up 8 other players interested in playing it they should start a game up for you any night you want.

Frankie is killing it i've never seen an early friday so lively great games the dealers are more effective and observant pineapple was running at noon on a friday which is uncommon even for some of the best of casino's and if his plans come to fruition it's going to give upstate poker players no reason to go to schenectady when that casino is built

well done frankie well done

Frank, I just want to inform you of the class and respect your staff showed tonight. 100% props to the way a difficult situation was handled tonight. On our table the respect the players had for Mike in how it all was handled was amazing. You have turned this place around. After the situation was rectified mike even went around to the tensing tables to talk with all players and say hello. Hats off to you Frank this room is on the right track. Mike if you see this job well done. Adam and Shannon also.

Thank you for that awesome post. Mike and the team did a great job last night as always. Guy, who is our VP of Gaming is also to be commended, he always had the players best interest in mind during the decision process. This is a true team effort to provide our players with the best possible poker experience that we can'

Whats the deal with the "Yellow brick road" Casino? Why build it? How did it get approved? Will it have poker? Etc.

According to the website it's only slots and bingo. No table games whatsoever.

Not sure as to how it got approved.

http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.s...no_in_cny.html

Opening June 2.

There is nothing preventing them from having table games and poker. They have just chosen to not do so at this time.

I have a very, very, very important question: why on the Twitter feed is the exact amount of the mini bad beat jackpot always given but the amount of the jumbo bad beat jackpot always rounded?

"Jumbo BBJ is over $5,000 w/four tens or better beat by a higher hand. Mini BBJ is $27,333 w/4'2s beat by higher a hand"

And while we are discussing very important matters, the whole "w/4'2s" construction is a punctuation train wreck, even for Twitter.

Is college night tomorow? Thinking of making the trip if it is, there will probably be more action then than I found today on a Wednesday afternoon.

Hi sao, I will look into why the disparity of the BBJ listings. As far as the "w/4'2s", I have instructed the staff to list it as "Quad Deuces" moving forward.....good observations, thanks!

Hi Cooler, technically it is still college night on Thursdays, but to be honest most of the colleges in the area have finished classes.

Gotcha. I'll wait for the weekend to make to come back out. On a side note has there ever been any thought of an hourly or bi-hourly shuttle to and from Rome's train station and the casino?

Is the structure and starting chips for the standard weekly tournaments posted on the website?

I found the schedule but didn't see the rest, maybe I missed it though.

Good question, that would be more of an overall property decision than poker specific but I will inquire about that!

Hi emmpee, no you didn't miss it, we just made and posted some changes to our weekly schedule and we are in the process of finding some space on the website to post the structure etc... Thank you for your interest, hope to see you soon!

Hello,

I am a regular Philadelphia area player, who will be moving to the Finger Lakes area starting in the Fall and looking forward to playing a lot in Turning Stone.

Had a couple questions for both fellow players and Frankie:

1) Does 2 5 NL and 5 10 NL run regularly on the weekends?
2) Does Turning Stone comp rooms for poker players (I play 2 5+ and usually a large number of hours)?

Hello AA, yes we normally have both those games running all weekend and as far as rooms, we do offer a poker rate after 4 hours of play. We also have a tournament rate for special events. Hope to see you soon and please stop by and say hi...I'm South Philadelphia born and raised!!!

I have a clarification for Mr. Frankie:
Background:
- Newbie with poker rate reservations.
- Never been to TS before.
- I plan to stay there June 8 - June 12.
- I know that PR is 80, and 59 at the inn, there are limited numbers of rooms, and it requires 4+ hours of play per night.

What i don't know: the process of securing this rate!
Can I book now, online, phone, or through you?
Should I play 4 hours first, then ask for it?
Can I book normal rate now (with any method) and change to PR once on site and achieve the 4 hours?
Will it be likely sold out around that time?
Is it enough for two nights to play 8 hours at one day? or it must be 4 per nights?
Is car parking available for free for residents/ non-residents?

Sorry if these have been asked before!

Frankie who can I run this up the ladder to? I make the trip up from Albany 3-5x per week and would love to see this happen...It's a pretty lousy round-trip drive to make multiple times per week and I don't know how feasible it is for me to continue making the drive as frequently as I am. Shuttle service from the train station would seem to make sense to have for non-local players.

Keep up the good work in the poker room Frankie.

The 2/5 game runs almost every day and night, and usually gets 2-4 tables on Friday/Saturday. Occasionally when the right people show up we are able to get a 5/10 started or sometimes we can convince the other players at a 2/5 game to convert to 5/10. It will be good to get someone else in the player pool who is interested in playing 5/10, hopefully we can get some more games going.

I talked to Brian in transportation today and the best that he could offer was a car service to and from the train station costing $100+ each way. For those not familiar with the area that is $200+ for what amounts to roughly a 20 minute drive. I just don't see TS as having much interest in accommodating their regs who aren't from the immediate Western NY area. Unfortunately I think I'll have to look for an alternative place to play as I can see from my conversation today that it is clear that Turning Stone isn't interested in retaining my or anyone from my areas business despite how often I've played there.

Important to note that this is not a reflection on anything that Frankie is involved in. He runs a very good card room. The lack of care for guests not from the immediate area are reflective of people outside of the poker room.
